  • Regarding stamp duty I've managed to find the answer. We won't need to budget for that as we would be exempt from paying it as the property would be less than 300k and we are both first time buyers :) so that's one massive saving for us

  • today we took a rare trip into town.

We brought a carseat for middle son for when he exceeds the weight limit in his current one. We got it in the sale and paid using a gift card so only had to add £5 cash to it

We traded in some old games to cex making £15 to add to the house fund

I used my boots clubcard points to buy the baby a training cup so no money spent there.

I used my boots voucher to stock up on nappies adding an extra £3 cash.

We did a food shop for £38

Total cash spend today £46 before vouchers £96 plus £15 extra cash in the savings box

Overall a good day and the £46 spent is within our budgeted expenses :)

The parking was cheap! All good with your plans going forward and with controlling the spending.

  • Oh and today was a NSD :money:

    Grandmas visited us

    I'm working tomorrow
    Friday and Saturday
Ds1 has a party to go to Saturday night so will put some money in a card for that.
Sunday is the pantomime paid for by my grandma (something she has arranged and paid for since I was a baby)

I'm going to try and sell some of my much loved and pretty shoes to try and get our savings to £4000 by the first week in February. Currently sat at £2400

Aiming to save £1200 which should be spare after all budgeted money is transferred
    Plus. £150-.£200 in overtime

So need to make around £250 this month selling the few things we have left to sell.

That will give us £4000 by February
    £5200 by March
    £6400 .by April
    £7600 by May
    £8800 by June
    £10000 by July
+ any overtime from 1st February onwards.

Now I can see its achieveable let's do this!

I just hope the houses don't go up for sale before we have the money to commit. Please keep your fingers crossed for us!
