Sadly, that is a strong possibility!

yes, you are right!!! This is why i like 2 sets of eyes to read over my paperwork, or in this case hundreds!!

I like the additions to the letter, not demanding comensation but merely asking the company what they intend to do about it.

    Many thanks all

you think that's bad? Considering the holiday only cost £400, i don't think £50 is too bad. Especially as it's cash and not vouchers. Like i said, it didn't spoil our holiday, just was an inconveniance.

Excellent news Ivrytwr3! We spent our £50 (see my post further up the page!) on a chinese buffet. Not bad for a bit of inconvenience!

We had a very poor quality holiday cottage last Easter but did't complain - I wish I had now because it was a real state. It was like someone's parents had passed away and they decided to put it up as a holiday cottage but not bothered to do anything with it! Loads of old stuff in all of the draws etc, shower leaking, what looked like dog pee on the carpet, mould in one of the beds, no blinds or curtains in some of the bedrooms, musty smell everywhere. We couldn't even get cleaning stuff out of the cupbiard because they had locked it away (along with Hoover etc and we had a 2 yr old with us!). We actually phoned the 'caretaker' on Easter Sunday (which we felt bad about, but thought she should know about the leaking shower through the ceiling) and she was very rude and snappy (said 'I'm the owner, NOT the caretaker' - well we didn't know! It said caretaker on all of the paperwork. The worst thing is that the lady at the booking office recommended this cottage over another we were interested in!

If it ever happens again I will def complain!
