We just didn't want to rock the boat with CCCS by not following their plan. I understand what you are saying but we are so grateful that they are going to dig us out of this hole and don't want to start off on the wrong foot. That said, a month or two on token payments would enable us to clear quite a bit and start our DMP on a much better footing.

Yes, I understand you don't want to rock the boat. In that case why don't you call CCCS are ask if what you want to do is OK?

I'm going to call them tomorrow. I have already emailed them asking if we can send the payments they recommend this month before the DMP. We are still waiting for new account and due to the fact that our wages cant be paid in until end Aug we can't start the DMP until sept because the dd for the dmp comes out on 1st month. Money has run out this month so token or reduced payments are all we can pay from now on.

    Hi Tigsmom,

We started our DMP in June this year and I too was concerned about the date the DD goes out as DH is paid on the 8th and I'm paid on the 10th. I read on here that you can also choose the 10th to make your payment to CCCS so I phoned them and we changed it, so easy
    HTH
    DMP starts June 2012, £38,180.

    Balance June 2015 £26,046 (paid off 32%)

Thanks. I'm not sure if that would make much difference to us as I get paid 15th & DH 20th. DH's work closes for annual hols next week so he won't be able to get wages paid into new acc until next month. I'm sure CCCS will be ok when I explain it all to them. We don't have much choice anyway and they are helping people in much worse situations than ours.

I'm also toying with offering f&f to Santander as it's our smallest debt and we may be able to scrape together around £200 if they will accept it. (I have an old gold ring which I've been meaning to sell.) Has anyone else had any success with f&f's?

    Hi All,

I'm a new poster and just really needed some advice.

I started in a debt plan back in February 2011 and have been paying back nearly £200 per month. Everything was fine. Then stupidity hit me.

Several 'payday loans' later and it's a rocky road.

I've only got one outstanding now, which will get paid on the 10th of next month. But my payments in to my debt plan have been erratic, late and not for the full amounts for the last couple of months.

I havent spoke at length with my debt company about it....is my plan at risk? could the plan completely fall through?

    Hi everyone

OH is (finally) on board with the idea of a DMP so I want to get the ball rolling ASAP. I don't work on Tuesdays so will get back on to CCCS (had to cancel the previous appointment) and get things going.

There's no way we can make our credit card payments this month. We could probably make a token tenner payment, but no more than that. Should we just do that for now or leave it entirely this month? Next month should be much better, but still v tight. OH starts his job on Monday next week so we'll have two salaries again.

    Hi and welcome

Please send something to show you are showing a willing. £1 tokens are fine. I sent £10 but in reality it presses the same button ie not paid minimum so you may as well save the £9 yourself!

    Congratulations on your OH job.

  • Hi Guys
Been reading your posts for a little while and took the plunge to start a DMP. I found a great letter template on here a couple of weeks ago and now can't find it! It was a template to send to creditors which as I remember was much better tham the template CCCs have sent.
    Please help

And thansk for your positive stories :)
