Hi,

I've just got back from the USA and have about $600 left over.

I'm about to head off to Spain and now need Euros.

I want to convert the dollars straight to Euros, rather than dollars - sterling - Euros.

What's the best way to do this? All the online search engines assume you are converting pounds, so I don't know how to find who offers best rates easily.

  • Take your dollars to the Eurozone and exchange them there.

Read up about things like Starling Bank, Monzo and Halifax Clarity credit card too.

As above. You can avoid the problems of leftover cash and losng money every time you exchange by keeping your money in pounds on the right cards, as mentioned, until the moment you transact or withdraw cash.
