  • Congrats on getting under the £14k mark, you are doing so well. I am finding this month a bit frustrating as, although I want to see the numbers go down, I also have to be realistic in that it is a spendy time of year and I will be best not overpaying too much until after the festivities.

Annoying not seeing the numbers go down so much for a few weeks BUT I do love Christmas and I'll be more miserable if I have no money to enjoy it (I know the best things are free etc etc but cocktails aren't).

    Have a great week x

I just balance transferred £264.20 from CC1 to CC2. CC1 is still interest bearing and C2 is 0% on balance transfers until October next year. The total debt has not reduced but the target CC1 now has a balance of £1932.48. Less interest to pay is always good. :)

fuzzyduck...I know how frustrating it is, waiting for payday, wanting to make overpayments NOW. I'm exactly the same. My new strategy is to spread things out over the month, to keep the momentum going rather than pay everything I can in one big lump sum. So far its working and helps to keep my eye on the ball. ;) And what's Christmas without a cocktail or two? I mean, really. :D

    Absolutely so! :D

I had the shocking news yesterday that after my training ends there will be no job for me at my current place. This is not great. I'm not entirely sure if I want to work there or not but still, it would have been nice to have the choice.

So, the debt HAS to be gone by September 2017. Ideally it will be gone before then so that I can build up a big emergency fund in case I find myself out of work for a bit or on a lower wage as I build up private work. Either way, the pressure is now on to get this sorted out pronto.

I'm away to detail my plan and post it up here.

  • Oh no, that's not good. At least you've got plenty of notice, so can make plans. Looking forward to seeing them (I love a good plan ;)).

Just made a £250 OP to the target credit card. :j

The balance now stand at £1652.48. :j

hiddenshadow...I love those important moments too, like when the debt went under £14k, I can't wait til it goes under £13k.

The next milestone is to get this CC down to 3 figures instead of 4. :D

The £25 regular payment to one of the cards appeared on the CC account yesterday.

Just updated my signature, another £25 of debt gone forever. :j
