OT- your posts are chicken soup for my soul !

CCP- get well now I hope that it does not spoil your days away !

    5 for today

    1. Washing dried on line.

    2. Felt yukky again first thing (no , no VJsmum too old for buns in ovens ;) hope you are feeling better btw?)

    3. Butch the hen jumping on my lap in order to be fed some sunflower seeds.

    4.Quiet day .

Lol - you obviously know me too well. Hope YOU feel better soon, I'm not sure cherryaid is a good idea though. Mind you I once got food poisoning from salad and lived on flat lemonade for rather a long time.

Phew, Frith - long may it continue (though there may be rough days, at least you feel he is in the right place now).
CCP - sorry to give you my lurgy - hope it goes soon

My "itis" now offically has "Tonsil" at the front of it :( second time this year for that and the 4th time I've had a lurgy of some kind. I am not usually so sickly but I guess the travelling (including up and down the country at the beginning of the year when dad was ill) won't be helping. I need to do more "sit still and do nothing" - I'm just not very good at it. When the doctor told me to rest up today I was :rotfl: out of the door.

    Anywhooo

    1. Managed to get drs appointment - with little waiting around
    2. Did quite a good mediation job between @r$eey student and a colleague
    3. Managed to finish what I needed to before going tomorrow.
    4. A benefit of waking up before 4 was that I had time to soak in the bath
    5. Actually I have rested a little - watched the first episode of series 1 of "The Killing". So have 19 more to look forward to - as well as other series.

I am off tomorrow so must pack - thanks for all the good wishes. See you on the other side (of the world) - GANGNAM STYLE!!:D
I wanna be in the room where it happens

Frith, that is absolutely excellent news about Frith Junior.:T

    (((CCP))), get better quickly.

    My five pleasures for Wednesday:

    1. Have added the intention to go for a walk everyday to my plan to shed the pounds so got out into town on foot which I haven't done in ages and it was lovely. I'm lucky to live in a market town with lovely specialist shops.

    2. Got a replacement wipe-clean table cloth for the kitchen - our old one is old and yukky and the new one is mid-blue and white gingham and clean and fresh looking - really pretty.

    3. Got on with knitting some of the the sock.

    4. Have discovered a series called 'George Clarke's Amazing Spaces' on 4od. (http://www.channel4.com/programmes/george-clarkes-amazing-spaces/4od) It's all about people doing interesting small builds/conversions and is a bit more in keeping with OS and MS than many of the other programmes of this ilk because it's about smallness and there's quite a bit of recycling and renovation. Anyway, I'm enjoying it a lot and I watched the latest episode.

    5. Made very nice scrambled egg and mushrooms for lunch.

    Sleep well,

    B x

    Evening

CCP- Enjoy your trip to see your DP's hope you feel better NOW.
    Mcculloch - Stunning pictures
VJsmum- Have a safe trip and enjoy
Frith - Fantastic news about DS makes such a difference when they are happy in where they are.:T Hope you get well NOW as well.

    Pleasures for today,
    1. Busy morning before work and made a chilli for tonight for OH and DD. Also got a loaf of bread made on the breadmaker quick bake so could do sandwiches tomorrow.
    2. Did all of the above this morning as went out to dinner tonight with some of the girls from work. Lovely dinner and nice to catch up.
    3. Managed to get some washing out on the line. Not quite dry but just about.
    4. Phase 2 of the project I am working on happened tonight, fingers crossed without any problems. Also managed to collate about 75% of the information for next stage though think the final 25% could be an issue. I am going to have to kick some !!!!!s to get people to do what I need them to do.
    5. Seeing my friend so happy - she gets married next weekend and is having a baby in Feb.

Hugs to all who need them
  • I just lost my post??

Firth, Wonderful to read about your DS.
CCP, Feel better soon and I hope your sausage casserole turned out better than mine.

    1. I like winter and the possibility of snow havoc...;)
    2. I made a sausage casserole which wasn’t great, nice to be organised just wish it could work out every time.
    3. Sitting here with a big cup of tea.
    4. Stopped in at Mr T on the way back from hosp hoping to pick up a petrol voucher but all sold out, and I was going to walk by the reduced 10p chicken etc after a conversation with DH to clear freezer space when he said no don’t do it and picked them up:rotfl:, he said sometimes the RTCs work sometimes they don’t so to get them while we could. Also picked up 5 work sandwiches for 8p each.
    5. Just found a movie to watch on sky.:)

First Post Combo Breaker First Anniversary I've been Money Tipped!
CCP I wouldn't have been so careful washing the paint off if it had been red & white. At least he was wearing Spurs colours ;). Get better now so you can enjoy your break :)
Frith pleased to hear of younger son's successful day. They may not all go according to plan but sounds like a very positive place for him. It reminds me of where my youngest DGC are, they let parents know they will cuddle the children if they're homesick/upset/poorly etc, a very sensible attitude.

    1. Spent most of the day with DD, always a pleasure
    2. bought a car harness for muttley (he's coming with me to Devon), it was much cheaper in the local farm shop than h@lfords are selling them for, and a reputable brand
    3. All laundry/ironing up to date, not doing any more til after the weekend
    4. Had lunch out, a jacket with chilli and cheese which was so filling I couldn't even order my favourite pud of treacle sponge and custard!
    5. Asked at the last minute to give a talk this evening to 40+ newcomers in the fellowship, heartwarming to see so many keen to be there.
Sneaky 6th. One of my group brought me a big bag of chestnuts. I love chestnuts!

    Sleep tight. S
