I never knew 112 was the emergency number as well as 999..

I was topping up my Asda phone and when I was finished I pressed a button to clear the screen of all the numbers I had typed in and next thing I knew a voice was saying

"emergency what service do you want".

I explained I didn't have an emergency and hung up.

On looking at my dialed numbers I saw that the last number was 112, the last three numbers of what I had been entering to top up my phone.

By pressed a button , did you press the call button? It will ring whatever numbers youve enetered, if that was 112 then it would be them it rang if it happened to be 0800 00 10 66 it would call hasting insurers.

I dont think its the phones fault.
