    I'm actually surprised that anyone seriously thinking about this career route hadn't investigated options further and realised that experience was also a requirement. I say that having a son who studied psychology and was looking at further study and found that some avenues required some years working before further academic progress.

    Make sure you have a local backup just in case plans fall through. That was my mistake.

    If this course is not local to you, a backup may be needed. It needn't be in health psychology, it's just something to give you a good qualification.

    It reads to me that the diploma satisfies the academic stage of getting onto the MSc. You would then have to read the MSc entry requirements to see what else may be required.
    Capital One:£1,259.40/£1,300.00
    Aqua: £273.29/£300.00
    o2: £221.00 / £271.00

    But the entry requirements for the MSc state;
    "[Those] with a qualification in cognitive behavioural psychotherapy, or substantive experience in supervised practice MAY be eligible for entry via Recognition of Prior Learning" - it says MAY, not WILL.

    The entry requirements for the MSc clearly implies you will need work experience. It notes that if you have a core profession in A,B,C then you will need to do 2 years post qualification work experience in mental health care.

    And then for those without those core professions it states you 'can be considered' through the KSA portfolio of evidence + 2 years post qualification in mental health care.

    In terms of your diploma, they mean that it will satisfy the ACADEMIC stage of the entry requirements. They never told you that you will definitely be accepted on to the MSc with only the Diploma.

    Also the description relating to the Diploma does state that you will reflect on you current practice and work etc.

    - I dont think you have leg to stand on tbh, the information is all pretty clear on their website.

    Have you started looking for PT / Voluntary work in this sector?
