Official Trying to Conceive - Thread 13 13th Apr 16 at 12:29 PM
This is the new thread for those trying for a baby.
    The previous one is here:
    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.php?t=5143999

Please be aware that this is a thread for those trying to conceive. If you wish to announce a pregnancy (or are only a couple of days from testing) and you have never used this thread before, please either wait until CD1 or use the less than 12 weeks pregnant thread. Hormones can run high on here (nature of the thread!) so please be sensitive. Many thanks!

There is no such thing as a silly question, so please ask anything you are curious about. Many of us have 'been there done that' and many of our graduates still read this thread and are happy to offer advice when it is needed and relevant.

As with everything deemed medical, we cannot offer medical advice, so please visit or call your GP if you have any concerns or questions. Getting a preconception check up is recommended and allows your GP to know that you're trying for a baby as well as identifying and rectifying any issues or problems that may interfere with a pregnancy before you conceive.

Aww mouse - sorry the witch has got you! Thanks again for the daily update of CD's!

Sorry Lisa, I have no words of wisdom for you! I'm on CD80 after having a few long cycles coming off microgynon 6 months ago. I was on it for 14 years!!!

Hubby had docs yesterday to ask about his swimmers being checked like my doctor had asked. He was given a few leaflets (and sample containers!) and told to phone the hospital for an appointment. He phoned this morning and has an appointment on Monday afternoon - so glad he doesn't have to wait! I was imagining it being months

I spoke with a couple of my close friends over the lat few days about my stresses. I was in two minds because I didn't really want to tell anyone we are TTC but i feel it has lifted more of a weight from me.

    Sorry for the long post!

Baby dust to everyone and hope you all have a great weekend xxx

Cats how long have you been on the thyroxine now? My cycle lengths are very regular, it's just the PMS that's a killer. I've said that I'll never been on the pill again as well, coming off is horrendous

Cats I would have imagined you'd have seen some improvement after 3 months on the thyroxine, maybe it is the hormones from the pill still causing mischief. Did your GP give you any idea when you might become more regular, or refer you to endocrinology?

Oh dear cats, must be very frustrating , do you have a sympathetic GP you could discuss your concerns with? Anytime I've had to change my dosage, I normally feel a difference within a week, I know others can take up to a month, but 3 months does sound a bit excessive. Then again, my cycles have never been affected. Do you know what your levels actually were? When I ring to get my results now, I actually ask for TSH & FT4 levels rather than just accepting they're "normal" as I've seem lots different GPs about uat with a very wide range of understanding about the condition Also, for those ttc, TSH has a smaller "normal range" than the general population (should be below 2). I found this website quite informative, might be of some use to you: http://www.thyroiduk.org.uk/tuk/diagnosis/getting_diagnosis.html

Thanks angel will have a read :-) my last level was 1.9 so think that's why they said I'm ok. Tbf they don't know for sure that thyroid is why my cycles were affected - could just be coincidence!!

    Thanks for the replies ladies
I've been taking pregnacare since I came off the pill as I was advised by the doctor to do so and I rarely drink alcohol so that hasn't changed anyway.

We will have the house to ourselves for a few days from Sunday as mum is off on holiday so I will test then and keep you updated.

    Hello everyone

So... I've just done a first response pregnancy test (the one that tests up to 6 days early) and there is a very very very faint second line! I really don't want to get over excited. Can this just be where the line ' should be'? X

Delurking to say fingers crossed to Apple. It is possible to get an evap line where the line should be, but if there's any pink which developed within the time frame then that's a good sign. X

    Hi all

I've been awol as I have tendonitis and therefore typing isn't a good idea so will be short and sweet.

Nothing happening with me really except the FF chart is looking more like a normal one should be with good temping and it's all above coverline this month . However the app is now very basic as I need to pay - really annoyed as didn't think it was paid site. May rejoin under different email.

Fingers crossed Apple. Keep us updated
