    Hello,

It is that time again for a new thread as the old one is about to approach its 150th page.

Thanks to sarah1972 for posting the last thread

Please note in post number two there is now a list of FAQ that had been asked a lot through the old thread. I thought this would be useful too add because of the same question coming up page after page.

    Happy Posting

Quick question - On my paper posting schedule for next week I have 2 letters, both saying add smart. But the online schedule doesn't say this, and it won't let me add one. Presumably the online schedule is the one to follow?

A few weeks ago I had an email saying that I should soon be receiving a mailing from *a well known company*. The following day I received this mailing but it didn't show up on my account, then the following week I received an identical one. I phoned them and they said to wait and it will soon show up online. Today I have just had my third one delivered! Still not showing online and the first delivery was over 3 weeks ago, and supposedly only one was to be posted! Think I'm going to email them this time and ask again - it took forever to get through when I phoned them. Anyone else getting this?

Is no one else getting weekly mailings from a *entertainment subscription* company that they shouldn't be getting? Am I doomed to receive one a week forever?

    Hello!

New to MSE, frequent visitor, first time poster!

Just received my first actual Survey pack, after training. However, I have a query RE: SMARTS. They come in a plastic wrapper, and after reading the manual / guide thoroughly, I still have a question - do I take them out the plastic when putting them into the relevant envelope, or do I leave them in the plastic? Such a simple thing, yet I don't know the answer!

Also, the stamps I received are brilliant. I am by no means a collector, however these are truly spectacular!

    Thanks!

However, just to elaborate a bit, if they were to be taken out of their wrappers they would lose their 4-letter IDs and we wouldn't know which was which!

And welcome to MSE as a poster.

    Whoops!

    Thank you again! :-)

    Hi

I'm new to this, I've just had a phone call saying I've been accepted and will be starting training soon.... I was glad to find this thread with so much helpful information about what I'm getting myself into!

I live opposite a post office so I assumed this would be easy..... was I mistaken?

well, I had a phone call whilst I was on holiday from them - I guess it was to tell me I was moving onto the next stage but I'm not sure, I asked the guy to hang on a moment & in the 5 seconds I was passing the item over that I was holding to a friend, I either lost signal or he put the phone down ... never mind!

When I returned from holiday I had a package waiting with my first SMART in it & a jiffy bag to post - do I leave the folded piece of card & wadge of paper in the jiffy bag when I send it to Mrs Smith in Bolton (or whoever it was on the name label - I just made that up!)?

Secondly, I received a copy of Top Gear mag when I was away - I guess this is a recordable item as I don't normally receive that! (I finally found that I can add a "unsure what date it was received" so that's helpful!)

Yes, leave the folded paper in. They don't go to the trouble of putting paper in for you to take it out. However, when you receive such an item from another panelist you have some clean A4 paper to use.

My first Post re Royal mail Survey!! New to the Survey as well!!!!
    Hi Guys,
I have managed to read most of this thread contents I haven't even started to read the original thread because originally when I joined the survey I stopped gettig the emails so I assumed I will not be part of it so lost interest

hoping not missed anything here are my Q's
Knowing they can take two weeks to reply to emails and not muchjoy on phone I hope I can get some answers in this thread.

I wrote them an email yesterday as below

    ************** 1st email ********************
I have managed to log in to the Survey online. I have been instructed to click on Unaddressed Mail button. I am unable to do this it is as if it is inactive. My week started on 19th Aug but to date I haven't received any such items. Will it become active after I start receiving it.

    Thanks in advance
    ********************* End of 1st email **********

Then I wrote them a 2nd Email after some 20min later after I tried logging in Chrome. They said this is guranteed to work in IE or Firefox

    ********************* 2nd email **********
Further to my email below, I tried to access the website on IE9 as it was mentioned in the compatibility section . When I tried this in Chrome which is not in the compatibility list.

I would how ever like to ask another question

If I am a daily participant and when I log in to the Unidentified Mail section I only see one item listed so far.

As I mentioned in my previous email I haven't received any mail to register, but according to the one picture that is on the form I have received a pamphlet through the door which I need to enter. Do I submit on the Day received or wait until the end of the period. If I enter the one item on the form will it allow me any further mail received or all of the form is going to be disabled and I won't be able to submit further.
    ********************* End of 2nd email **********

The 2nd email briefly means I have as per picture on the survey I got a Harvey Sale leaflet(which I was would have thrown it 30min before when I was cleaning and the bin men came and collected the recycle rubbish. Phew!!! Anyway I will not throw any of these junk mail.)

As per email on the survey I have day by day entry starting 19th Aug for the next three weeks. But I only have one picture so far(22nd Aug), shall I wait until the end of the week to complete or end of the period end on the form. If I submit will the other days/weeks still be available to enter details in.

    ***** Another Q******
Is this part om training or do I have another form of training.

****** Thanks in Advance to all guys in the two threads *****

As this is about the Unaddressed Survey, did you put D2D at the start of the subject line? That helps them field it. I have managed to log in to the Survey online. As I mentioned in my previous email I haven't received any mail to register, but according to the one picture that is on the form I have received a pamphlet through the door which I need to enter. What do you mean you when on the one hand you say you haven't received any mail to register and on the other hand you say you need to log something which is pictured? Do I submit on the Day received or wait until the end of the period. You enter the information about receipt at any time (within the couple of weeks that it is available - but if you leave it beyond a week the front page box will turn red. However it is best to enter on a daily basis. If you count something in the daily numbers and subsequently find it in the pictured list, remember to remove it from the daily total. If I enter the one item on the form will it allow me any further mail received or all of the form is going to be disabled and I won't be able to submit further. If you confirm that a pictured item has been received, it disappears from view. Drop-down items remain for you to enter/change as appropriate.

Phew!!! Anyway I will not throw any of these junk mail.) Have you been sent an envelope to send them all unaddressed mail received during your participation in the Unaddressed survey? Some people have been receiving these, so I'd keep the flyers for now.
