Valentine's ideas... for MEN??? 27th Jan 07 at 6:02 PM
It's pretty easy to buy for women... roses, teddies, perfume, chococlates, jewellery, etc.

However, what is there to give to men? Has anyone got any ideas for stuff for men that aren't too wussy? I'm looking for 'token' ideas, not weekend's away, etc.

I read on here the other day someone suggesting to give their boyfriend "vouchers" which was a really good idea - and which I am going to do myself. The OP recommended doing some coupons such as "IOU....a foot massage" or whatever. I thought it was a great idea and done my OH some that I have put in his card.

Will also make him his favourite meal - Shepherds Pie followed by Apple Crumble

the way to a mans heart is through his stomach

like above i make hubby a fab 3 course meal on valentines, then an early night

hes not "into" presents" really and doesnt need anything

a nice idea is to make a mini hamper, line a basket with red tissue or cellophane then add little things he likes eg a bar / box of his fave chocs, fave alcoholic tipple etc etc

We tend to either eat something special in, or go out for a meal. I usually buy something like his favourite dark chocolate with chilli and a small bottle of champagne (enough for an aperitif) It is a token present and I feel it is becoming too comercialised when the poor guy is encouraged to spend £40+ on perfume, £20+ on flowers, card, dinner etc.

We exchange cards, have a romantic meal or go somewhere special(last year we went for a run(in trainers) around swanage bay then went for dinner after - the stars were glorious) and exchange a small gift of something like perfumed candles, chocs, aperitif/liqueur miniatures etc.

My man loves flowers but to be honest we don't do valentines. We exchange cards and that is it. Seven years on it's valentines day every day

For valentines day last year i got my other half some dog tags with our names engraved in them. I got the tags from an army shop for a fiver and the engraving cost a tenner. He loved it as he wants to go into the army. Fo something creative. But remember - valentines day is only one day of the year designed for companies to make money. So dont make it about money

A rose or a blow job? I know what 99.9% of the male population would go for, therefore my idea is perfect AND MSE!!!!!

Wife waking up hubbie: I've decided not to buy you any cheap crap that we women think are really important and have decided to give you a blowjob instead.

Man: (head almost falling off he is nodding so much in agreement)

You never know he will be in a good mood all day and you may get taken for a lovely meal later.

    Valentine's ideas... for MEN???
I normally treat myself to some sexy undies, normally gets appreciated (even if thay don't stay on for long )

for skinty: sorry, no idea nice meal out, massage maybe?

at school we used to send "my last rolos" which was a rolo sitting in a bit of tissue paper and wrapped in a fancy box
(just a good money-making scam by the sixth-years really, they'd charge us 20p each to deliver the rolo to anyone in school - this was in the days when a whole tube of rolos cost less than 20p! )

That's a really good idea. A really cheap but fun gesture, and my OH loves Rolo's! I saw those 'silver' jewellery-type ones but a bit on the pricey side for a token gesture.

    Thanks

No prob, i've seen the silver ones too but never really seen the point of them

I think most people would prefer a tube of the edible ones
