    I'm here!

    Looking forward to another month. This better weather seems to make it easier for me as I spend more time out in the garden rather than infront of eBay :D
    Great to see some new faces!

    Count me in again..... I only spent £1.05 on a big bottle of water for work yest, the water there tastes yuck!!! Hmmm I guess could fill it up from home and take into work? Apart from that a NSD..... :beer:

    Oh but....... no hold it wasn't..... Mum & I got a "cheap" take-away in the eve, sweet n sour chicken balls, chips and curry sauce = £6.50 and it was my turn to buy it!!! Doh.... :o

    RIGHT..... from today I promise to be good.

    Aah but just remembered have got some friends round this afty for choc cake - we take it in turns to visit each others houses on weds afty, and I've not done it yet. Eek..... that's counted as an unnecessary really isn't it?

    At least no Creme Eggs in the shops!!! :rotfl:

    Is Chele doing it again?

    Im going to join in on this one I think, Im losing motivation to stop living within our means at the mo

    Our food shopping budget is 100 quid
    Aside from today ( starting new job in a bit) im on a one pound a day work money and taking lunch into work- but I need to suss out the facilities so I can meal plan a bit, will whizz into sainsburys on the way home to buy whatever I need ( one in town often has reduced meat etc)

    Paid my 105 for travel yesterday :eek: and making sure Ive got my travel charters in my bag for work in case of the inevitable delays on the tube. ( if you are a tube user & your jounrey is 15 mins late, you get 4 quid back per journey, pick up the forms at any tube station, freepost, they send you a voucher you can use towards your next travel card etc)

    taking a book and not buying a paper. Bottle of water in the fridge for the journey will top up later.

    all the best to everyone on the challenge !
    :beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
    Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
    So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:

    I’ll join too if you don’t mind! Last months CC overpayments were rubbish so need to improve this month.

    Food budget is £200 (2 adults, 3 part-time kids & a cat). If I stick to that it means I don’t need to pay extra into joint account to cover things til next payday. However my month started last Tuesday and we had a MASSIVE spree at Asda + then needed fruit and bread etc yesterday - so need to spend around £25/week for rest of this 5 week month (until 29th May). I think a lot of eating from the freezer will be required!!

    On top of that I budget £20/week for clothes/going out/socialising/random spends but I’ve been really struggling with that. So I am going to say £100 for the month which hopefully give me a better chance of sticking to it.

    Going to keep track of things on here if you don’t mind:

    Food = £103.84 spent = £96.16 left
    Personal = £2.50 spent = £97.50 left
