I take it to mean physical savings so, if you're using a voucher, then transfer the month you've saved into your savings!Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

I've just paid of my mortgage from my "Save a pound a day" tin, and hit my annual saving target a month early.
Out tonight to celebrate my mortgage-free status with a posh meal and a bottle of champers. It's been a long while coming, so tonight is not the night for saving! :j  :j
PS Sorry for all the dizzying emoticons, but today is one of those days when they are deserved! (:D )
Congrats WTDW, that's fabulous news! I remember the day a couple of years back when we finally cleared our mortgage, and yes it did feel like a big load off our backs. Hope you enjoyed the celebration.Save 12k in 2013-2014-2015-2016-2017-2018-2019-2020-2021-2022 - then early-retired.0 -
Well done one and all, and especially WTDW - you will have so much more flexibility now.
As for me, I have become self employed so have just had my last pay from the old company. I doubt I will meet my target now this year because I need to retain most of what's in my current account to tide me over until the new year when (hopefully) money from my new venture will start flowing. There is no point putting into savings only to have to take it out later. I will review next month though and see what I can do.Solar Suntellite 250 x16 4kW Afore 3600TL dual 2KW E 2KW W no shade, DN15 March 14

On the contrary, that is the only point of savings: to be able to take out when needed, having put in when spare.Eco Miser

I have had my best month of the year with what seems to me a massive £3317.75 put away... after being glum about potentially missing my year end target it looks like I will after all and potentially break it by afew hundred quid.
Thanks SF for the work throughout the year! and looking forward to seeing the spreadsheet updated with my new number (I was actually thinking about this yesterday a lot...) How sad right?!My Goal: From 1st of Jan 2015 to 31st of December 2015 is to save 30000.
48.78% towards 2015 target.
105.3% towards 2014 target. :j0 -
