Happy New Year ladies! _party_
Hope everyone's well and had a good xmas and NYE. My LO slept through the fireworks, then woke up at 2am and decided it was time to party... We're at my parents until Friday, and it's been lovely - LO has grown and changed so much in the past two weeks, and she's saying new words every day. The latest ones are spoon, car, duck, shoes and scarf!
Been thinking a lot about moving this year - we need to get our flat valued and do the maths and then decide if it's doable or whether we'd end up with a mortgage so massive we'd end up struggling. But we're definitely running out of space - we've been in our first time buyers' flat for 10 years when we'd initially only planned for 2-3 years!
Hope everyone has a fab 2014 - my new year's resolutions are to eat less crap, stick to my Slimming World plan and hopefully also move house0 -
Hey everyone
Hope everyone is well.
We have a leaky roof and the roofers are coming tomorrow as it's the only day we dont have gales forecast, so thats me having to be up and dressed at silly o clock!
Still better than a saggy ceiling and the mop bucket but still...
Chaos around here, trees down all over the place!Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession :o0 -

Happy new year everyone
My fantastic Xmas pressie from Rebecca of 10 hours sleep has carried on - getting at least 8 hours a night! Hope I'm not jinxing by saying!
When did everyone put LO's in own room? Or when do u plan to?0 -
Eilis went into her own room about 10 weeks or so. Just whenever she outgrew her Moses basket.
Watching Harry Potter and I'm an emotional wreck. Just showed Harry's mum telling him as a baby "Mummy loves you, Harry". I say that to eilis. So horrible. I swear I wasn't this emotional in the cinema! My Debt Free Diary

Scarlett is still in our room, she's coming up for 13 weeks old on Sunday. However she is still in her moses basket. Not sure what we'll do after that as seems a bit daunting to have her in her own room, have become used to her in ours.
I've been emotional tonight as been creating a flipagram of photos from scan, bump and then Scarlett as a baby right through until the end of 2013 and then set the lion king 'can you feel the love tonight' instrumental music over the top.Mummy to two girls: October 2013 and February 20160 -
Our LO will be in her own room in about 2 weeks as she's fast outgrowing her Moses basket now (nearly 11 weeks). Does anyone have any tips on how to settle a baby in the evening? We'd loosely been putting her down in her cot about 7pm after a feed, then dream feeding at 10.30 and she would wake after that about 7am. However since her jabs she goes down asleep for the evening 'nap' and will wake 5 mins later full blown screamibg. She's obviously tired as often falls asleep during her feed but then gets herself in such a state that she will scream hysterically on us or finally conk out for a nap around 10 when I want to feed her. How can I get her to stay in her cot when she's obviously tired? Other naps she settles for fine (and her evening sleep thank goodness!)0

Just adding myself, i have been meaning to participate more since leaving the pregnancy thread. Will have a read back tomorrow when i have a bit more time but looking forward to getting involved0 -
T went into his own room at 7 months. He was in a crib in our room from birth (never did Moses basket). He transitioned fine, we've been using his room for changing and bedtime stories every night, so he was familiar with it. X0

A went in her own room at 12 weeks and immediately slept better at night. Am sure we must have been disturbing each other. Like lazywife we'd been using the room for dressing, nappies etc before0

Both my little two did at about 14 months, and into beds as well at the same time (cot bed with no sides but with duvets etc) and its worked well.
Just having a poke around the debenhams sale... cant find much in the relevent sizes though!Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession :o0
