Picture 5... I've been looking at it for about 5 minutes and it still looks like a coffin to me. Is it some kind of strange wooden bath?
I think it is a bath with a wide anlge lense on it.. or perhaps a coffin ( i prefer the idea of a coffin)0 -

Or, looking at the angle of the dip, perhaps it's a hydro type thing where you can practise front crawl. The legs kicking in the deeper end, obviously!
