We bought our first (Victorian) flat around that time and the PO had fitted a peach suite including a corner bath.......nice! Although, to be fair it was marginally less hideous than the burgundy sanitaryware my parents had :rotfl:Mortgage-free for fourteen years!

I remember agonising over whether to have that, or one of the others.
It's not a decision I'd stumble over now, especially since my wife went nuts and painted the front door 'Chav Purple.'0 -
It's very similar to work I've seen in art colleges.
However, most fine art students have the sense to realise that what's appropriate for college, isn't readily transferable to the real world in which things are bought and sold!

The house equivalent of I'd like to go round dressed in 14th or 16th century dresses - as they're my taste.

I'm thinking here of camouflage clothes for trees....and a display where the viewer had to wade through paper waste strips in a particularly violent shade of orange. Few people noticed the trees were wearing clothes, but the orange strips began turning-up in homes all over the city, on public transport etc and became a minor talking point for some time. :rotfl:
I think that house was meant to be experienced, but maybe not lived-in.0 -
