If you don't know what it does you won't need it ;)
Its for writing Windows programs etc - great news because I've never been able to afford Visual Studio!

If you want the CD images go here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/express/support/install/

else you have a small setup program to download, which will then download it all but only temporarily.
  • Thanks very much, I've passed this on to my coding friends! Very useful if you're doing a university degree in computing and can't afford the full versions of the software..

    :)

  • I have to report that the new versions of VB and VC# are excellent. So too are the new bits that Microsoft have added into ASP2.net.

Additionally, SQL2005 is much faster processing data than previous versions.

Deepee - have you tried clicking on the links below where it says "You can download Visual Studio Express from the links below:"
    Mortgage Feb 2001 - £129,000
    Mortgage July 2007 - £0
Original Mortgage Termination Date - Nov 2018
    Mortgage Interest saved - £63790.60
    ISA Profit since Jan 1st 2015 - 98.2% (updated 1 Dec 2020)
  • It says on following on MSDN,
are they all variants of Visual Express,
if so what is the difference between them,
what are the system requirements for each,
Can you download more than one,
    are they all free?

You can download Visual Studio Express from the links below:

    Visual Web Developer 2005 Express
    Visual Basic 2005 Express
    Visual C# 2005 Express
    Visual C++ 2005 Express
