Is is worth paying for Stainguard?

Options
I am ordering some new scatter cushions shortly. The are dry clean only, light cream fabric. I have been quoted £56. for Stainguard protection, but wonder if it is worth it. I have had no experience of Stainguard previously, but wonder whether this protection becomes less effective once the cushions have been dry cleaned for the first time. I would appreciate any advice.

Stainguard is ineffective after dry cleaning a few times and can cause yellowing of the fabric. Personally I wouldn't waste that sort of money
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

Thanks for that Butterfly, I wasn't too keen on spending an extra £56. You have helped me make my mind up!
