3G isn't really needed on a tablet as most people carry smart phones that can tether a WiFi connection.
It's really an Apple thing, for people who have too much money (or lots of credit cards) and aren't really clever enough to set up tethering.

    I know the type :)

Apple knows its market though and keeps churning out stuff that isn't much different from previous gens/rivals. Oh and for a ridiculous price too.

People keep lapping it up and Apple is the biggest company in the world so cant knock them for it.

  • In a way, a Mi-Fi routers are better. If you're in an area with a weak signal, you can place the Mi-Fi router in the best place for the best signal - usually as high up as possible and near a window.

I got the padded case for my 10.1" laptop from Asda.

    Update on this.

I was in Asda earlier, and they have a neoprene Tablet Sleeve, for 10" tablets, brand name DNS, for £4.
