'Norwegian put £69 singles to New York from Belfast and Edinburgh up for sale yesterday, so we decided to find out if it really is possible to bag one. And guess what? It worked – but only just.'

Transportation from out of the way airports is not easy or inexpensive either I'd imagine. And there are few onward connections to other places in US either.

Public transport in the US is not what we are used to from our airports.

But still, if you are going to explore and get a car that's fantastic price.

If you are going to shop, eat, drink and be merry in NY, not so good.

Each to their own though.
