    Morning all,

Had a lovely day yesterday at Trentham Gardens and then had a nice meal at Frankie and Bennys with Becks and Mr Becks. It was fun meeting them after all this time.

Hope you enjoy having the house to your self indie. The chicks sound lovely. Saw a family of ducks last week with 13 tiny ducklings.

Leanfun, you need to give your DH a list (men need lists!) Do hope you are better soon.

We are going to Crich Tram Museum today as DH has always wanted to go there. Then we are going to stay at Matlock for 2 nights.
Hope everyone is well. Will try and keep up.

Morning peeps. Bit dull here this morning. Expecting showers later. Need a few bits and bobs from the shops so will wait and see how heavy rain gets and decide if they can wait till tomorrow. Glad you are feeling a little better leanfun it is not fun when you are debilitated. Especially when you are normally active. Well must get on. Take care peeps and have a lucky day.

Good evening everyone, hope you have all had a good day.

Glad you had a good day today Sheils and enjoy your meal.

Oh Alfie, you are bringing some memories back in this old grey matter. My Mom always used to say
'Ne'er cast a clout, till May be out' when we wanted to put our Summer dresses on when it was hot! Neve had a string vest but used to have to wear a liberty bodice and we had to wear it on top of our cotton vest until the end of May. We had a mangle like that too then went on to one that was electric and had an electic mangle too. Really showing my age now. Thanks for the bat info.

Hope you DS is feeling better now Wingo. Are you having any luck finding a different job yet?

That sounds wonderful what they do with the residents where you work Indie.

Oh leanfun I do hope that you will feel better next week, do take care. I give my DH a list if he is shopping on his own as he goes in the supermarket while I look around the town sometimes. He doesn't mind food shopping.

Busy day for you today firefly, thanks for all you do.

Hope you are OK Mcc29, hope you don't mind me shortening your name as can never remeber what it is LOL.

Been out shopping with DH thismorning.

    Have a lovely evening all.
BIG THANKS TO ALL WHO POST THE COMPETITIONS

Morning peeps. Have been awake since 3.30am. Mr seagull was making one almighty racket. It is usually about 6am before I first hear him but he was up early this morning. It looks a nice morning outside. Clear sky and not many clouds. Hope everyone is well today and not too many injuries or illness. Going to make myself a nice bacon butty and a cuppa. Be lucky.

Lol sylv re 'Ne'er cast a clout, till May be out' - my

Hi everyone. Sun just come out here.

Wow Rose sorry to hear of your early start. Lo at neighbour. Do hope you are able to have a nap.

Sheils and all thanks for reminding me about lists. I'm not a lost person but have given DH lists when going off shopping. Yesterday was my first time out to shops one with a car park so we now have food.

Sheils hope you enjoy Museum. I think I might have said before we love the area around Matlock. Three years ago we rented a beautiful large house in Tidesdale for all the family. We had a brilliant time. So much to do in the area.

Great to hear you have some days off Indie. Do try to have a good rest.

Hope everyone has a good weekend before the cold comes again? Very apt after the comments about never cast a clout.....

    Good luck.

Forgot to say a surprise DVD came in post yesterday. 100 Streets I went for it because it was based in London. DH read the cover more carefully says it has a lot if bad language, sex and violence!
