    Good Morning,

Just popped into to say we are off soon. Thanks for good wishes.
You must all get fed up of all my trips away but that is our main hobby. Comps are just my second
Heading for Trentham Gardens today if the motorway isn't too bad!
    Wishing everyone lots of luck.

Morning everyone  Glad the hairstyle turned out ok fire**fly ;)

Well done on the beautyBible win :j :D I loved Alfie's suggestion! :p

Alfie, great idea with the bat house :) They are amazing creatures and lovely to watch flying around at night.

Congrats on your niece new baby Rose :j Enjyou your cooking :)

Hope you're feeling much better now Leanfun xx

Sheils, have a great time and say hi to Becks and partner :) They look so lovely together. Enjoy your meal.

The cloth bag sounds lovely McCulloch. It's a shame we live in a world now where most people are obsessed with leather and other expensive stuff without giving a thought to where it comes from in the first place! I can imagine that womans other reviews!

Indie, hope the weather stays dry for you to wash car :) My sis put hers through an expensive car wash the other day when I was with her and she no sooner came out of it when it rained heavy!

I've done nothing since getting up this morning....well nothing but sneeze anyway! Must get my backside into gear!
I had DD2's friend till late yesterday. We took them out for the day and DD is staying over hers at weekend. We were meant to be taking DS and his friend to water park tomorrow but he fell on his side playing football yesterday and he can barely move and in pain. He's laid on sofa now asleep which isn't like him as he's never poorly! I think I might need to go get him checked out if he's no better.

Well must go do some washing from my magic washing basket that magically fills as soon as I empty it! :D Have a good day everyone ;)
Big thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone and be safe!

Lovely choice of products for your win, congrats Firefly, and good ones too.
Thanks to reviews I do get to try some nice things that I couldn't otherwise afford.

When I was doing proof of purchase slogan competitions my children always used to joke that they knew what competition I was entering when a different item to the norm appeared for breakfast, lunch or tea.
Usually this went down quite well. I really had to go out of the way sometimes to get entry forms and proofs of purchase.
I have memories of trailing round Sainsbury's in a town 15 miles away, looking for the Ariel.
It was worth it, it got me a top-end washing machine when the one I'd had for some eight years was on its last legs.
Having said that, the said machine cost me a small fortune in repairs for the next eight years or so.
Then I asked the repair guy what was the most reliable machine on the market.
Servis. My bargain basement buy lasted me 12 years without a single repair. Now I have a Bosch, not a top - end Bosch, but a Bosch. Touch wood, no problems so far.
Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.

Well done on the beautyBible win :j :D I loved Alfie's suggestion! :p

    :grin: :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

^^^ Love the pic wingo! :D

Sorry to hear that your DS is poorly at the mo - hope he
    feels better soon. :A

I've always loved bats - such cuddly and adorable little
    creatures! :grinheart

The bats here are tiny and there are loads of them - much
to puddy cats delight! :p Her favourite pastime during the wee
small hours is watching them flying about (from one of the
    upstairs windows!).

    :heart::p:heart: ^^^ Aww - weeny bat next to a £1 coin - look
    how small it is!

I use an excellent UK bat site - http://www.bats.org.uk/

    It's well worth a look. :T

Pleased to hear that you managed quite a decent sleep last
night leanfun. :T I hope you're feeling much better now after
your nasty accident. _pale_ When you posted about it I can
    recall shuddering!

This was posted on the Gransnet fb page today ....

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

My lovely dad always wore string vests but don't think they
    were hand knitted! :D

Oh, it was just the same for me and mine mcculloch29 when I
was really into the comping mode! :p My children were the
same with different items appearing for their meals etc.

I've also got a (basic) Bosch washing machine - getting on in
years now and apart from the odd leak ... it's doing ok'ish!
Can't complain really because it's served me well. :T

I can recall my dear mum using something similar to this back
    in the day:

    images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTQfEHWIJIB9cV5-Fdg_iDbQxGz5S2UrFzTxPj4NISXh3DnZ8mo

I can't remember the make of the model but can recall
the rubber pipe attached to the kitchen sink tap for filling
the machine. Then later on when the wash was completed the
used water was drained into the sink via another tube.

Mum also had a couple of washboards (I still have them) and
a block of green Fairy soap for removing stubborn stains before
the items were put into the washing machine!

Monday was always wash day for Mum whatever the weather.
    Happy days! :A

Thanks for the bat website Alfie :A interesting reading :) I was watching something on tv the other day where a girl went into a bat cave to give them fruit. They normally like banana but they were trying them with strawberries and figs instead. They were sure they wouldn't like the strawberries but it was their favourite! It was lovely to watch them biting on the strawbs :)

I'm like you fire**fly and prefer to read reviews first. Having said that, I read reviews on the steam straightening hair brush and they were rubbish but I still wanted one and got one for Xmas! :o They really are rubbish! :D

Your pics remind me of when I was a kid Alfie, the mangle in the back yard, getting washed in a twin tub after mam had washed clothes because the big tin bath took too long to fill! We used to sit on the pull down oven door too for a warm! I think we lived dangerously then! :o Mam used to buy us wrights soap too (I think she liked the name! :p ) Then we went onto Lux soap!

Lovely pic Sheils of you and Becks on fb :) Glad you had a great evening :)

Has anyone watched 13 Reasons Why on Netflix? I watched it with my DD1 and it was really good.
DS feeling a lot better but just stiff and aching.

Morning, well done on the win ff. We have a dull start to the day here but they have said it will warm up later.I have a few days off now and the house to myself.Son and girlfriend have gone to plymouth till sunday.
I held a day old chick yesterday at work. Where i am working at the moment they have 3 floors. Residential, dementia and nursing and they have a great team doing activities. They brought a hatchery (don't know if thats the right word..lol) in and had 10 eggs in. 8 have hatched and the residents can sit and watch them, then later hold them. It's amazing how gentle they are with them Anyway must get moving as car is in for a MOT at 9. Hope you all have a lucky day.

    Morning all.

Great to hear your DS is a bit better Wingo. Lo about steam straightening hair brush. Just goes to show it pays to take notice of reviews.

I am a lot better thanks Alfie but still very slow and I can only bend a little bit. DH was going to bank and decided to do some shopping and bought things I don't like to eat. He has no problem doing things it's just he has no ideas about what to do or buy even though we eat everyday normally. This has all been very strange. I could stand in the kitchen but had no strength to lift a kettle or pan. I'm sure another week and it'll be much better again.
I just keep thinking it could have been so much worse.

Hope everyone has a great and lucky weekend.
