:hello: Good morning everyone
Hope you're all ok on this glorious Sunday.
Thank you very muchly for the overnight rain fire**fly. :A
Did the garden a power of good :j and it's a beautiful start
to the day here now and the sun is shining away.
Crikes ... just been outside to sort out kerfuffle! To cut a
long story short - yesterday evening local moggie was in
the garden showing great interest in one of my plant pots
on the patio. I went outside to investigate and found a
baby bird tucked in behind the pot cowering from the cat.
Had to shoo the moggie away twice and thankfully this
morning baby bird had survived the night and was being
fed by the parents ...... and the cause of the kerfuffle this
morning ..... bloomin' cat was back!
I tend to be a mother hen sometimes - but sadly I know it's
in the nature of a cat to hunt. Ho hum.
Luckily all is well out there at the mo, moggie has disappeared
and parents are back feeding the chick.I had the most amazing win on a scratchcard the other day... £1,000 :j :j Someone has definitely been watching over me this week! It was one of those where you get so many words and I kept scratching a bit off, doing jobs then going back to it as it was taking ages. I couldn't believe it when I realised what I won!
Sheils, they were all sons trophies he won Wednesday night. He got over 40 goals, was top goal scorer and the team went on to win the league and get promoted so he got players player of the season and parents player too so he done well
Well no sign of my tent yet. Hope it comes on Monday when DH is in. I might even put it up in the garden if the weather is nice!
:j Yay and Wow!!! Big congratulations on winning £1,000 on the
scratchcard wingo! :j :T
So pleased your brother is doing well - can't believe it's 2 years
since you donated a kidney to him. :A
Your son has done so well too winning all the trophies! Big
congrats to him - what a star! :T:T:T
Hope your tent arrives soon - bet you can't wait to try it
out.
Just seen your post sheils - hope you have a wonderful
break and a lovely time. :j I didn't manage to do my
dreaded ironing in the end yesterday evening - it's still on
my to do list!
Time for a cuppa me thinks.
Have a brilliant and safe day all whatever you have planned. I will
catch up later.

Wingo Congratulations on your scratchcard win! Pity that there wasn't more zeros on the end of that figure!A good life is when you assume nothing, do more, need less, smile often, dream big, laugh a lot, and realise how blessed you are.

Afternoon everyone
Just waiting on kids to get ready and pop out somewhere while it's mild. They are so laid back, I was always up early and out as a kid!
Thanks everyone re- scratch win I need to get son a new bed and DD wardrobes so it's come in very handy! 3for...one more letter and it would have been 10k
Have a great time at the caravan Sheils and fingers crossed the weather is good for you I saw a great deal on wowcher for park resort holidays in a caravan but I don't think we can make the dates as DD has gym comps and DS footy tournaments!
((Hugs)) for today Rose xx
Love the cat pic fire**fly! I've seen lots of lovely cats lately I would love one too but the others aren't keen. I don't think Jasper would be happy either!
Aw poor baby bird Alfie, I do hope it's ok from puddy! It's a pity you couldn't make some sort of shelter for it that only birds could get in
Well popping out for a bit before the rain comes back! See you all laterBig thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone and be safe!0 -
Afternoon peeps. Got very dark here about five minutes ago and it is now tipping it down. So that is plants all watered. Hate it when that happens as my young annuals and other soft plants get flattened. They seem to revive themselves but look a bit bedragled until the sun gets back at them.0

Morning peeps. Little bit cloudy this morning but I can see blue sky. Need to nip up to doctors later but do not seem to have the energy yet this morning. This virus is knocking lumps out me. Was told while I was in hospital that I just have to be patient as it can take a while to clear your system. Also need a few things from shops so DIL is popping in later. Hope I am finding everyone well. Be lucky.0

:hello: Hi everyone
I hope your virus clears up soon rose - unfortunately they
do sometimes tend to drag on and on.
Sending get well ((hugs)) to you - hopeful that every day finds
you feeling a little better.
It's another lovely weather day here - been out this morning
stocking up with provisions - it's very muggy though!
Apparently it's set for the week with Wednesday being an
absolute scorcher - so they say! It'll probably end up in
a huge thunderstorm!
All is calm in my garden after the baby bird/moggie kerfuffle
these past couple of days. The moggie in question hasn't
been back yet - maybe it's been put in 'time out' :rotfl::rotfl:
Aww - feel quite sorry for it now though - but really don't
like to see anything being hunted on my patch.
Meanwhile the chick is thriving. :T
Have a brilliant and safe day all whatever you have planned.
Take care.
