  • I have been having a little go by myself and thought it was about time to join in and post!

    My target isn't whole debt ( just 10K ) so 1% is £100 and I now have 4% :)

Love this thread and always checking in so thanks all!

Need to rejig my goal if that's ok please.
    Debt 1 is £2875 1% of that is £28.75
    Debt 2 is £722 1% of that is £7.22
So I'd like to have 2 concurrent % challenges to reflect my debts.

I'll find this much more manageable - hopefully.
    I'll start from scratch.
    Today I have paid £115 from debt 1 = 4%
    and £127 from debt 2 = 17%

Afternoon, not much gone on today but i did sell a part used perfume for £11 plus post. (it affects my allergies as much as i like the scent). So thats better than nothing! Got £10 of the £25 for selling craft bits so thats good.

Going to set up the kids savings accounts this week i think ready for Xmas incase any family wants to pop something in the savers for them. We havent currently got anything set aside for them and cant really do it ourselves until we are alteast rid of the o/d and the CC. (Hopefully will be Jan 2014 or sooner). But think ill feel better knowing the accounts are there iykwim.

Still not got my £100 off premium bonds yet, was told it would be 8 working days and im sure its been nearly 14 working days now :(

  • Managed to pay off my credit card off in full today, woop!! It was pay day and worked out I had £355 of overtime this month So £250.32 to pay off the CC with £154.68 for my overdraft. Add this to the £69 earned from the next voucher and babysitting i am now at 18% (and a bit). Happy days.

Also been having quite a few NSD by making sure i always take food to work with me and my making a couple of birthday cards.

Do you track Amazon vouchers when you get them or when you spend them? As I am thinking of saving them for Christmas presents.

Going to be a bit more creative with up-ing my income this next month as overtime has died off although I have a job interview tomorrow so if I pull that off it wouldn't be too bad, but I would be working 7 days a week!!!!

    Hi everyone,

Well done specialkaye on clearing the credit card :T
And to everyone else another big well done on all your progresses :T

Well its my birthday today and I have just got £30 from my mum and dad so that's another 1% towards my total once its paid in - it will take me to 85% - so only another 15% to go and I've succeeded for my target :D

I'm also waiting for my £100 of premium bonds (I too have been waiting about 14 days!) and £100 car tax refund on my car which gave up the ghost so when they arrive that will be another 6.5% to add x

I love this 1% challenge - I've achieved more these last few months than I had for the rest of the year - so a massive thank you LittleMiss - you are changing so many peoples lives for the better - I am already starting to think about next year's % figure :T  :j

  • Well done SpecialKaye :T

    :bdaycake:Happy Birthday Crafting :D

I've got bids of around £65 so far for items listed over the free listing week, so im really pleased that i'll have some %s coming my way soon, although not all of it can going into savings i will make sure some of it does :D

Ive spent the day trying to get a little more organised, house is now kinda in a managable order- as long as i keep on top of things :o and i've set myself a challenge of using my free 99p listings each month, so will be starting to list 99p items from tomorrow :)

Ohhhh and remember how i swopped 10p & 20ps for a fiver to make my 1st % well instead of using a £10 to pay for some items today i used them instead :)

  • I would really love to join this challenge, seems like a great idea as I can get overwhelmed with my debts. My total debt is 3000 so my 1% will be £30.

I have just sent old mobile off for cash only work £2.20 but every little helps.

I have loads of old clothes not sure whether to list on ebay or get rid of them to one of those companys that buy by the kilo. Which is better?

My mums coming to visit in a couple of weeks, got boxes and boxes of stuff in her garage might ask can she throw a few in the car I could probs sell that stuff too.

Just started a second job but wont get paid till end of oct :(

  • Hey Sapanga! Re the clothes. In my opinion the best thing to do is to sort them all thoroughly. Stuff with tags- def list on ebay. Anything Designer - def list on Ebay. Anything in nearly new condition from a popular hight street shop (Next, Oasis, M&S, River Island etc) - list on ebay. Anything else - list on ebay if you have the time to do the listing and posting even for items that still only sell for 99p. I tend to find that so long as I have about 10+ items ending together then the 99p items are still worth it but it does take a while to list them and post them. £'s per hour is not a good rate! It is free to list at 99p and if something doesn't sell you can keep relisting it until it does. Remeber though that with paypal and ebay fee's if it sells for 99p you only make about 60p I think. It all adds up though..... Good luck!
