It certainly is! And as sad as it sounds I was really excited when I saw the letter this morning.
DH is a bit more on board than what he was now Ive explained how we can do it and what I'll be using any spare money I have on.
I had to buy the kids some new trainers yesterday as they have hardly got anything, bless them! Managed to get brand name ones from the sports direct website for the grand total of £43 inc postage for 3 pairs. I felt a bit gutted about spending the money but needs must. However I went to visit my dad and he gave me £40 to split between the 3 kids so that has paid for it now, so I'm one happy bunny again! lol

OOO something else I forgot to mention is we have been helping some neighbours try to sell their car on ebay as they dont have an account and even though twice it has sold no one as been to collect it!

But the other night they came around with a crate of beer, bottle of wine and tin of biscuits to say thank you :)

there are still lots of lovely people in this world :)

    Thanks lurvlyLoz :)
Todays plan is to do my shopping list for the next week inc xmas dinner. I do the food shop every Thursday and this week I have got a £50 budget. I have ordered a meat hamper as well from a mobile butcher that stands on our market but DH is paying for that :)
I also need to make sure I have everything in to make biscuits with the kiddies at the weekend as they like to make their own to leave out for santa :)

  • You sound like your doing really well. Have you been over to the couponing thread? Even if you just use the odd one (always use them when there is an offer on) it feels great to make that little saving-that you can use on your debt. I have a lot of free fabric conditioner from it!

What a horrible day! weather wise that is! Got soaked on the school run so just made the kids hot chocolate with cream to help warm them up :)

I have been entering every twitter competition I can find today, you never know I might be able to win something! hehe I did win a £10 iTunes voucher the other day and someone offered to buy it off me for £9 lol
who was I to refuse?! especially as it is not something I would ever use.

So today I have wrote a cheque to send off to the debt company to clear the account. Another debt collector letter has dropped through the post this morning, but I was pleased in a way as its one Ive been trying to find details on as should be able to pay it off in January.

So I've been a bit cheeky and wrote a letter offering them 50% as a full and final settlement. We can only try!

DH took me food shopping this morning and he paid for half of it as he had a good day at work yesterday (he is self employed).

I need to do my big xmas clean this weekend ready for the big man coming, the kids are being taken to a pantomine on sunday so will probably get most of it done then!
