I do feel hurt and disappointed that you should choose to find my post "suspicious". I'd been reading the other posts in this thread and saw the one by another stay-at-home-mum like me, who said she wanted something she could do to improve her prospects.
I have absolutely no connection with the website, other than as a very impressed customer.
Nor will I gain anything personally from the frustrating time I spent trying to register and log in on the forum via a slow-loading 56k connection, before I posted the message.
I did look for another forum where it would be better placed but couldn't find one, and finally began to see posts appearing where fees and subscriptions were starting to be mentioned.
It was sincerely meant to help0 -

Hi
Does anyone know a free or cheap bookkeeping course?
I am a stay at home mum wanting to get back to work, really really want to better myself and can't wait to start learning again! You would think there would be a 'special deal' companies would do to help people get back into work after looking after kids!Wins:-

I used the bbc.co.uk to brush up on my French since my daughter was posted to Europe for four months. It came in very useful since it was 55 years ago I learn't it at school.0 -

I'm using the BBC courses at present to learn French but they offer most other popular languages. They are very good as you can watch the programmes which were televised online at any time and save your progress online. They are also interactive so you can do written work online and other activities also.

Not a course, but for anyone learning a foreign language (probably above beginner level), one of the most helpful things you can do is to listen to the radio in the language you are learning.
Mike's Radio World lists radio stations available online from around the world, by country and by content. I often have France Info playing in the background while I'm doing other things. I found that it takes a while to get used to the language but it's surprising how quickly you can get used to it.

Also - when I first signed up with vision 2 learn (I was on a career break at the time) there were no courses but when September came around I got an e-mail from then stating there were places available so I think they have certain start dates.0 -
