Hello again all Potters! I'm sorry to have been missing for several days. Well. We now know exactly what's wrong with our darling girl, sadly she has MS, a total shock to us all, but then that's how it must be for all those who are diagnosed with diseases and we're no exception. We were told they were fairly sure, but after seeing her Neurologist she has at last had the diagnosis confirmed. It seems it's inherited, but that makes little difference anyway. The different treatments are quite frightening as they want to hit it hard soon with some being too risky to contemplate...others not enough known about, but hopefully they can keep her from a wheelchair for as long as is possible! At present DD has lost the vision in her left eye again due to an awful cold, but at least we now know it will return in time. We're going through a hard time, but as with most illnesses, it could always be worse! Thanks to you all for your thoughts and wishes
Helen, I hope you're feeling much, much better now and that your back pain has gone. If not, I certainly hope it soon does.

I wish you well with the work, Kerry, fingers crossed her too.

To everyone suffering from the cold get well soon but more importantly KEEP IT TO YOURSELF !!:D

Excellently put, scotmumof3. It sounds like a Drs surgery in here with you lot, but that's the trouble with families, too much close contact! Take care all and get well soon. BTW, However long your DH needs the therapy for, scotmumof3, I hope it achieves what's needed and that all's well afterwards.

There's nothing broken but lots of other damage, which has caused some circulation problems and hence the very swollen and painful leg as well as foot. Now confined to bed or settee with foot raised, cold packs three times daily and only allowed to walk to loo or kitchen for five minutes if absolutely necessary for at least the rest of the week :(

Ooooh Lynne, you sound a bit of a wreck right now, still in agony too by the sound of things, but at least you know what you're up against. Do take great care - and rest up!

Wonderful news, debtfreeby30?, now all you need is to make the decision as to where the money's needed most.

All best wishes to you, Claire, with quitting smoking! It CAN be done, Lynne and I and countless others on threads here on MSE are testament to that. Go for it and never stop quitting quitting! If I remember, I'll send you a PM with some useful help. If I forget please holler.

I have just potted £3.57. I have also just got back from a 6.4k run. I am training for the vitality 10k which I am doing in July for Cancer Research. I will finish it even if it kills me.

That's brilliant, 32b3! A great charity, and don't forget to let us have the details for any of us who wish to contribute.

Congratulations Hicksy!!! Wasn't he called Jack?

Some absolutely marvellous potting going on, folks, keep hard at it!

Have a super Tuesday, Potters, and keep right on saving!

Just got back from the doctors, I have been diagnosed with laryngitis, this not the news I wanted to hear, I am unable to do my job as I am unable to speak and apparently its a side effect of the cold virus but doesn't happen to everyone... (Im just the one who does)

I have therefore been via the supermarket to get chocolate to make me feel better, bottles of water to soothe my throat, *why is it taste a lot better bottled when you have a cold... so I potted the change which was £3.63, when I say potted I added to the change to make it to £4 so I could put into the pot...

    every penny counts

sue I am so sorry to hear the news for your DD and for your family. My DDs GFs mum has MS and although she copes well with it, there are good days and bad . Thinking of you all. DH had his assessment at the hospital today and has an appointment tomorrow morning for his first treatment. We are not quite sure how many appointments he will need until he has been tomorrow The list of things he has to avoid is as long as your arm so it will be a bit of trial and error to find out what makes him worse. He is to cut down on caffeine so he is in mourning ATM :):)
Hope everyone is feeling better and westie hope you are not down too long with the lurgy.:(
98p potted for me today :)
