Standard charge in our area is about £500 per week, although I am aware that these prices are low compared to those in the home counties for example.
The home I want to end up in, if I ever have to, is in Sandbanks in Poole, they have butler service and a vintage Rolls Royce to take you out, chances of that, nil!!

You could persuade me away from euthanasia to the Sandbanks.... but before this it is the cruise ships! Off to google your future home (is it lilliput?)

That is shocking, and the poor souls doing the work are likely on minimum wage. I know in my area, being a carer is not seen with the status that job deserves, and so not everyone in the role should really be doing that role, and some people who should be doing that role, can not afford the pay drop that would involve.
Very True DM, we pay as little as possible to carers to look after the most vulnerable people in our community/ society.

    Don't get me started !!!

We could set up a home care business, given the additional funding allocated it would be a good time to do this.:D:D

Might be the cruise ships for me too!
It has changed hands from when I first heard about it, and although I was impressed at the time I couldn't reconcile that with the [STRIKE]!!!!![/STRIKE] poor service that the company provided to people with disabilities locally.
