Thanks juju but still better than santander especially as you can tie up 1k a month between you. Just need a free lift there now from someone who goes there occasionally to save my fuel.

I must get over to kent reliance this week. Seems the best for what I want. I dont want a current account just a savings account I can pay into monthly. Might drag mum over there on Thursday.
The other half I am going to put into shares easy enough to cash in but doubt I would as costs involved. Just got to decide the company but might go with dd employers as things will be looking up soon and they have weathered storms before.

Typical I actually have money to put into a savings account and the rates are dire. No wonder pensioners struggle now. Those that still have their little building society books and go in once a month to draw cars to pay bills must be getting 0.5 or even less:eek:

Di great news of our girl. :T

  • Good morning, another beautiful day in the making.
Does anyone know about free credit checks, Dd and her boyfriend are viewing a couple of houses to rent this week but the credit checks cost £250:eek: so I was hoping g to do a free one to see if they will be accepted to save their money if it's a no. I've never done a credit check in my life so don't really know where to start. I'm off to Google it but I'm sure I've read that it can damage your credit rating doing a check so I was g to be careful.
