Print this out below and take it to the department in question, tell them not to pay this invoice as you are not liable for any alleged debts, do you know who the leasing company is? You got to make sure that they don't pay it either, be quick here

And by the way its against the law to take money out of your wages without permission
Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?

It makes no difference who it is, they are not above the law, and only the driver could be technically liable not the RK of the vehicle, tell the NHS that if they pay it or the leasing company they are not giving you the chance to appeal it, if they try and take money out of your wages involve your union.

Just ask them to forward your address and name to the ppc if they are that worried, then ignore any letters.

That may not be correct. In the case of our Company it is stated in the car policy that any fines or parking charges will be recovered from the driver if necessary by a deduction from wages from who the car is allocated to and they sign in agreement of this policy or they are not allowed to drive the car.

I would add that I as Car Adminstrator try to at least fend off these private parking companies but as all our cars are leased the leasing company may pay the charge before we get to know about it and at that point the driver will have to pay.

Also the leasing companies charge for handling these cases so the driver may have another £20 or so to pay.

The thing is NHS staff don't sign up for deduction of wages in their contract of employment, if its not there its illegal, and leasing companies only mention fines and speeding tickets etc for the most part, so private parking invoice don't fall under that, I have yet to see one leasing company put in their terms covering that.

And if they do pay they are admitting liability for you, which takes away any appeal points, how can a company plead guilty for a third party?

In our case it has nothing to do with the contract of employment, it is to do with accepting the use of a company car and ours specifically mentions "parking charges".

I of course cannot comment on the NHS and did mention that it "may not" be illegal to deduct from wages.

As regards the leasing company paying the parking charge although we have discussed this with them that they shouldn't it depends on the individual at the time who receives the first "invoice" and in our case we as a Company are liable to refund the leasing company and then we are within our rights to deduct this from the employee.

Define "parking charges". Does that mean the money you have to pay to park, or does it mean unfair penalties imposed by a private parking company?
What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?

It comes under Motoring Offences, Fines Etc and states any parking ticket or charge.

Paying to park for private use is the employees responsibility anyway, for work use it can be claimed via petty cash.

But it's neither an "offence" or a "fine", it's an invoice.
