  • .....meant to say - if you're feeling unsure about your forms try to get an appt with a CAB specialist debt advisor. Mine was fantastic and tweaked my forms just a little before I went to court. Can't praise then highly enough xx

Thankyou Flo and Dojo, everybody seems so welcoming and its nice to talk to people who understand what I'm going through from experience. I've read the stickies probably a few thousand times and most of the threads, lol. Thats the only way I knew how to start the process, haha. Flo I did speak to my local CAB but they weren't very good (or I should say the woman I spoke to wasn't) so I didn't pursue it. I've downloaded the examples and guides though so I've got a better idea now. I think I will try them though if I get stuck, thanks for the advice.

Its definitely a big year of change for me, I've had to leave my job of 7 years prior to going bankrupt because I would have lost my job so I've got a new job, moving house in April and new start with my BR too this year. I'm looking forward to a chance to do it properly this time though, I've definitely learned from my years of mistakes thats for sure!!

Flo have you had your petition hearing yet? Good luck for you wherever you are in the process xx

  • So sorry sch3ll - I've been lurking on the OldStyle Forum and packing up my house so I've neglected my new home a little!!

I went to court on Feb 8 and cannot believe how quickly the time has gone already!
My interview with the OR was only 30 minutes (there may be a little more to sort out yet), but she made it as painfree as she possibly could and was very nice.

Must admit, I was glued to the board as a lurker for about 3 weeks before I joined up - read everything I could anywhere I could find it, life ground to a halt while I sat wrapped in a duvet glued to my wee lifesaving laptop!
Really sorry you had no luck with the CAB, I think each person finds their own source of advice that they're comfortable with - I just can't praise my local branch highly enough, although she was impressed by my forms and that's thanks to all the help on here.

Well done on getting a new job :T and good luck with the house move, keep in touch xx
