Soccersixes football

Hi all, The other thursday i signed up to a six a side league and played that night paying the £30 fee, the next morning we left the league and i text the league manager we no longer want to play about 2 weeks later i get a letter saying they want £120 or £600 if they go to court so i ring them up and get it down to £60. I am 16 and to be a manager you have to be 18 so im wondering would this help me out or put me in a disadvantage and i signed up to the T&Cs on soccersixes.net

Did you sign anything ? eg a contract

Before you agreed did you know you had to be 18 to be a manager ?
  • I ticked the terms and conditions no signature also it said 18 but took no notice as it was 16 to play

Can you legally enter a lawfully binding contract at the age of 16??

    Their T+Cs contain this:

I agree this League Entry Agreement in my capacity as Team Organiser, I am over 18 years old (and all my players are 16 or over) and I am duly authorised to accept responsibility on behalf of the above name team for the terms and conditions herein.

But you say you are only 16....

    A contract isn't enforcible against a minor.

However, you might like to advise your parents or guardian about the possibility of them being involved.
  • So it could potentially go to guardians etc?
