    Subscribing!

Some fab ideas on here. I am always looking for inspiration to help my flatmate. She prefers red days. We tried the slimming world chips last week and they were great.

    Keep those recipes coming.

I am doing SW too, I made meatballs in tomato sauce tonight, I used lean mince but you could use turkey mince which is cheaper, just mix mince with a beaten egg, some chopped (or dried) parsley form into small balls and chill in the fridge whilst you start the sauce. A tin of chopped tomatoes (Tesco Value 17p last time I checked) a finely chopped onion and a clove of crushed garlic. Fry the onion in a couple of sprays of Frylight (Olive oil) add the garlic then the tomatos and a squeeze of tomato puree paste, simmer for about 15 mins.

Fry the meatballs in a couple of sprays of Frylight and when brown all over add the tomato sauce and simmer a bit more. I served it with some pasta which I counted as sins because I had a jacket potato for lunch.

It was really tasty and only took about 30 mins from start to finish, I didn't walk in until 7.30 so I like food that is easy to make:D

There is a sticky on the I wanna board where more of us hang out and hopefully inspire each other anyone is welcome:D

Syn free chips on a green day- healthy extra on a red day

Zap the correct weight potato for a healthy extra in the microwave for 10 mins after washing it. Cut it up into wedges, spray with frylite and bake in oven for as long as you think is best depends how crunchy you like them and there you go tasty yummy chips more flavour than your normal syn free chips.

I lost 1 1/2 stone and have just started putting on again so i was glad to find this as I was wondering how i could get going again without sending the food budget through the roof again . So thanks everyone.

I put seedless grapes in the freezer and when desperate for something I eat them with a low calorie hot choc drink. If you have a slow cooker it is really easy to make soups or veg curry .

My kids love quorn mince in slow cooker with chopped tomatoes, garlic, onions, carrots and quorn sausages. There is never any left to freeze!

When I crave cake I use 3 slices of nimble soaked in egg and sugar substitute - spray fry lite in frying pan and make French toast - you can add cinnamon and it feels "wicked" but is a healthy extra.

  • Hi

Had some bad news at my SW class tonight. These are now no longer free on a green day. This is because you are not using the lasagne sheet as you are supposed to use it. The leader said they should now be counted as 1.5 syns per sheet.

(However if you have been making these regularly and been losing weight - then you could just carry on?!)

    Sorry!
