    Sorry for your loss Sue.
Unfortunately not much potting has been going on for me - but that's more to do with the fact I've not spent any money to have any left over to pot so I suppose that's a good thing.
It's payday Friday so I'll be re-doing my budget (a tight one ready for starting my teacher training) but that means anything I have left over from this months budget will go straight into the tin so I'm looking forward to that day!!

Hi all SPCers! :D Well, you'll all have had an amazing week :rotfl:or not!! :D That was my wish for you, but I don't always get it right. ;) Bet you have a fantastic weekend though.
To all those members feeling poorly or who are low in spirits in any way, I do hope you all get well very very soon. Very best wishes and {{{{hugs}}}} to you all. :grinheart

Very many thanks indeed for your thoughts jakes-mum. Waiting for the last few weeks and days of the holiday to come reminds me a bit of pregnancies, the last month drags on and on and on! :o Forget the freaking out my mode and just try and relax and enjoy the looking forward… Oh sorry I just suddenly realised who I was talking to!!!:rotfl::rotfl: Well done with the £2s and £5ers! Have a fantastic holiday all of you and enjoy every single second!!!!! :j

Old £5? no, these have left circulation in May this year and are no longer legal tender so you will not get any from the bank, you can still bank them, as they will get sent back to the bank of England.

This is the same process for the £1 in October, they will cease to be legal tender and you will remove these from circulation in October so the machines will have to be changed by then.

    Hope this helps

    Westie983

Very many thanks for all the information about the old £5 notes, Westie, very handy for me and for all us SPCers. I was confident about the ones I still have in my roadkill pot, I'm finally forced into having to open it up and checking just how much I've got, including 2 x £5ers that I know of. :j

To be honest though I was joking when I mentioned them to you as I detest the new ones and would sooner have the old ones any day!

Thanks so very much for your kind words, siju. Well done with your saving however much it was.

Oh dear MrsShazbit so it was no great excitement taking your Nephew to London! I guess you mightn't be inviting him any time soon! :rotfl: Well I'm pleased you enjoyed it all otherwise. Very well done on your £10 saved!!!!

It sounds as though you're like me and rarely go shopping in the week, DancingUnicorn. For me it's usually just once a week... But I make the most of it then!!!!! ;) Very well done with however much you did manage to save, it all counts! :j Thanks so much for your kind words.

My sentiments exactly 32b3, but last week it was even worse! No doubt holidays account for some folk not being here, but regulars are usually unable to contain their excitement before. Ah well, with luck trade will soon continue as normal so to speak.
That's a lovely sum you've potted, very well done! :D

Enjoy a really BRILLIANT BH WEEKEND, folks. :j Feed those pots as they're gluttons y'know!!! :rotfl:

2nd November is the opening date for 2017.

I'm pleased with my shopping at Sainsbury's today.

I bought 6 small bottles of prosecco, usual price £18, but today they were £2.50 each, £15, less £3.75 for buying 6 (25% off)

Total shopping was £15.80, including what I spent on food (4.55)

So, how to show this in my accounts?

    Option A - drink £11.25, food 4.55
    Option B - drink £15, food 0.80
    Option C - drink £15, food 4.55 - sealed pot £3.75
    Option D - drink £18, food 4.55 - sealed pot £6.75

    A is the accurate costs
B saves on my grocery account, but that is healthy
D is the usual cost of the products I've bought
C is the one I think I'll go for, as I always try to buy these bottles when they are on offer. I think £3 is a lot for 20cl.

£3.75 to the sealed pot it is then.

Am I the only one to save for my pot like this?
