When a Government Junior Minister plans to spend the evening with one of the Opposition's typists in the Westminster Hotel, things go disastrously wrong - beginning with the discovery of a body trapped in the hotel's only unreliable sash window. Desperately trying to get out of an extremely sticky situation, things quickly go from bad to worse.

This stellar company includes Shaun Williamson (EastEnders, Extras); Sue Holderness (Only Fools & Horses, Green Green Grass); Andrew Hall (Butterflies, Coronation Street); Susie Amy (Footballers' Wives); James Holmes (Miranda).

We always love outdoors screenings so are delighted to have a few tickets to some pop ups starting next week:

The San Miguel Picturehouse Pop-Up makes its maiden visit to West Norwood at Norwood Park!

The screenings take place in the open, with a limited number of deckchairs available on a first come first served basis. We will also have cardboard ‘bumbox’ seating available for sale but feel free to bring along small picnic chairs – however these must be placed towards the rear of the cinema area.

Screenings will take place around 9.15, or as soon as it becomes dark.You are invited to arrive early, relax and enjoy a drink in the surroundings. Gates will open at 7.00.

From her home in Miami, Florida, the eighty-year-old Rose takes us on a journey through her long and tumultuous life, a life that charts the fate of Europe’s Jews through the Twentieth Century and into the Millennium. A journey which begins in the ‘shtetls’ of Eastern Europe and continues through Nazi-occupied Warsaw, British Mandate Palestine, America, Israel and the Occupied Territories. It is an epic story of persecution, displacement and survival told with passion, pathos and a wild humour.

As the current refugee crisis engulfs Europe and America’s reputation as a safe haven for the persecuted comes under serious threat, this revival of Rose is both topical and timely.

Rose is directed by Richard Beecham, whose recent production of Arthur Miller’s epic Playing for Time at the Sheffield Crucible garnered rave reviews.
