The cases that have gone to court, I hear a couple exceptional ones have, does anyone know why they were sucessful? Concerned about a CCJ ... if it gets to court I assume if you lose you are damned immediately and can not get out of it?

I believe the only time Parking Spy have won in court is when a defence wasn't entered as the registered keeper was away in another country

I think like a lot of people, would not mind if it was reasonable. if one was to amke a mistake and park a little longer (and in no sense is that an admission lol) and it was a £5 for being a naughty boy, fair cop. but for a free car park charging 80 fine when other nearby car parks charge £3.50 or £8 all day all

frankly I would argue the old disproportionate aspect of it. Would be worth £110 just to have the day in court.

Have you got a link to that one? I thought it was the Preston case where they lost was their only adventure at county court.

I feel so dismayed now I asked them so nicely to take me to court as well!!

It does seem they have a couple on the go at the moment using Pannone!

I would like to see them try and win a case using their dodgy ANPR data as evidence.

    what is ANPR?

"Automatic Number Plate Recognition" Which they all say they use, but when its actually a CCTV recording the entrance and the exit!

Yet another attempt to make you believe they have some sort of authority.

No, and I can't remember where I heard about it. Maybe Pannone are doing a no win no fee cost basis

Parking Eye need a win at any cost. Citing the Thomas case is wearing a bit thin.

My eyes have got ANPR - they see a plate and can recognise it. I can then record the image on my phone.

Guess I must be an authority! :rotfl:
