Splitting up a hen party would encourage me to fly with them.
That could be worse - they might end up bawling at each other down the plane! At least if they're together it would only affect a small part of the plane...

Done that on Ryanair about 10 years ago. Or at least I thought so when I booked - the fare was advertised at "free", but in the end the cheeky gets charged me 1p each way

    me too
    Dublin and back for 1p....shocking!

It's not the publicity that'll hurt them, they're well used to that, it's if their turnaround times start getting affected. People are taking ages to get seated because there's loads of bartering of seats plus split up couples needing to get stuff our of their partner's bag at the other end of the plane etc...
You know your seat numbers before you board so why would you wait to do this until one of you is at the back of the plane and the other is at the front?

Mind you, having seen a party of people board - who have been in possession of boarding passes showing their seat numbers for several hours - stand blocking the aisle whilst they discuss who is going to have which seat, I can believe anything.

Perhaps you need a reminder that this is a money saving website
Why would someone want to pay for something that they don't deem necessary.

Cheers .........however again can I remind you. Its not about the paying or the not paying some of us have an issue with. Its the revenge or punishment for saying no, we find objectionable. I don't expect the waiter to stick me next to the bog because he did not get a tip last time I was there.

Some may find the following reviews interesting on on TRUSTPILOT.
    uk.trustpilot.com/review/www.ryanair.com

Now before you say I dont care if he or she is split up and put at the front and back of the plane. You may when you read the reviews and how it could affect your flight....

The seating scam adds to the entirely unsafe operating environment by encouraging the drunks to socialise in the isle.

There are constant arguments caused by the fact that parties of drunks booked on a single booking have no boarding passes as they are on a single phone while the party is spread through the aircraft.

The added problem that I forgot to mention was that one couple in our party were allocated seating at the front and rear of the plane but both boarded at the front due to being on the same booking. Consequently, one of them had to fight his way past along the aisle whilst others were boarding in the opposite direction. Others were experiencing the same problem.

And the joy just keeps giving!

I can just imagine the extra traffic up and down. People hanging about your row to speak to this friend or that family member. Children/young adults walking up and down to ask dad or mum this and that............

    WOW! Really? :rotfl:

If there's a table "next to the bog" doesn't someone have to be seated at it if the restaurant is full?

Are these people incapable of reading their seat numbers before boarding?

All you're doing is giving examples of incapable idiots that aren't fit to leave home alone. The great majority of travellers are more than able to cope with a short flight with absolutely no fuss.

Well it's clear to most that the system is active and not random in its selection. The many reviews on TP would confirm that. What would you call it?
    :wall:

As for the bog............next time you go for a nice meal. Maybe you can ask for it so I don't get offered it!! :rotfl:

I think (although that might be an incorrect interpretation) that the problem arose because you have to show your boardingpass when you enter the aircraft (at least it used to be like that with Ryanair). So if have BP's on a single phone you have to enter together.
