Well considering were in a "how much can you save" thread it may have summit to do with that. ;)
  • Hi all

Thought you might care for an update on what's been happening with me. I will have 15k secured in my bank account soon and having read many of these threads, I too have high aims and am looking to hop from 15k to 20k to 25k to 30k and so on...... in as quick a time as possible. It really is a brand new, shiny start for me. I am going to cut out all those expensive coffees, ride my bike to work (no travelling on public transport - besides, the charges have gone up recently by 5p :rotfl:) and will not be tempted anymore by unnecessary purchases. I might even think about cancelling my gym membership, we'll see. I intend to be a rich lady by the end of the year and my middle name will now be 'money making machine'.

Oh, and if anyone knows of any lucky pixies who care to deposit the odd 5k into my current account from time-to-time, I would be happy with that!!

PS. I too think we are having a foreign invasion here on this site - get a life you stupid italianos...or whoever you are....

Well done on the savings and the first 15k is the hardest :T :D

That means it gets easier? I'm at 11k. I found the first 8 easy, then it's been an uphill struggle from there. I initially wanted £15k by Christmas, but I think I'm going to have to be happy with £14k, the way things are going...

I've just hit £5000 which is a mile stone for me as I only work 12 hours a week and am a full time student studying primary education.

I have another 3 years of uni and want to save another £15,000 so hopefully I should be able to do that.

    :)

Well done! :D That's really good for saying you're in full time education and only working part time. Keep up the good work!
