He wouldn't be prosecuted for that, but for the failure to have insurance, so it's a bit academic. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

Firstly, its entirely your fault. Whether or not it was done accidentally is irrelevant.
Secondly, its beyond deluded to think the 3rd party insurer isn't going to bother checking your insurance status - why this evasive tactic is being suggested is beyond me, its more likely to screw you over than help you. Seek legal advice if you have the capacity to do so and be honest.0 -
This exact thing happened to me this morning. Came home to find out my insurance had been canceled without realising. Only realised when I rang up to claim. What happened? How did you get on?0

Asbo the great hasn't been here since April 2017.
You are unlikely to get any response from him/her
If you need advice start your own thread. (Search this forum for lots of threads on cancelled motor insurance and see if they are any help)0 -

Thats why you fit a Reverse camera...i did on my LWB Transit and could see everything behind.0 -

Why are you responding to someone who hasn't been back in nearly 18 months?0 -

You have bigger problems than an accident if your insurance has been canceled .0 -
Hello all,
Please help/
Long story short. I had a small accident in December 2015. I was driving my friend's car and I was not insured in the vehicle. I don't think it was my fault but they claimed it was. Now my friend, an insurance company, Liverpool Victoria paid for the costs and damages. Now a few days ago Liverpool Victoria (claimant) made a claim against me and my friend out of nowhere(after 2.5 years) asking me and my friend to pay for the costs outlay of 53,000 pounds. LV had made a claim via court. I'm in total disbelief and on the verge of a breakdown. My questions are: Shouldn't my friend insurance cover this for the costs, otherwise what's the point of having an insurance??
And I do not want to make this payment. Does anyone have an experience similar to mine? Can you please advise on how to go about this.
Thanks.0 -
The time to ask for help on here would have been November 2015, there'd have been some useful recommendations for car insurance that would've insured you.
As it is, you can either afford the payment, in which case you must pay it or dispute it in court, or you can't in which case you may want to seek legal advice.0
