Hi guys,

My Motorola has just met its death as my toddler found it and threw it in the paddling pool! As I could not get the battery out it is gone for good. Does anyone know if Huawai have anything new that is cheap recently?

Thank you!

I need something that will take the microsim

I would say couple of hundred. But for something really good if it goes a tad over I can do. I usually aim around the 150 mark but am flexi.

My phone just died too...could not decide what to replace it with on Android, so I have just ordered the Moto G5 with 3GB Ram/dual sim from Amazon!
    Thanks for the tip

John Lewis even better, it carries a 2 year warranty from them?

But its £159 or £140 for the older G4

I've been using Huawei for years now and this the spirit of this site never buy new. You can get ex-display or customer return G620s or Y635s on Ebay for around the £80 mark, they're bullet/idiot (don't ask) proof with great battery life and signal strength. No one will be envious but they're superb value and from ,I believe, now the 3rd largest phone manufacturer in the world.
Moto Gs are excellent but for anyone on a tighter budget Huawei are hard to beat, the basic Y360s are around £50 new and a lot better than that price might suggest.

There is no comparison between an old Huawei G620s and a Moto G5

In smart phone terms it has only 8gb memory(1GB Ram) which is useless if you want to put a lot of apps on

Moto G5 has 16Gb and 2GB ram and the latest Android 7 update

I did say if you're on a tighter budget, I don't use loads of apps and the bargain basement phones I use are just fine. I don't dispute the Moto G4 is massively higher spec but even though it's undeniably excellent value compared to similar spec phones it's still out of the range of many.
