  • brizzle - late to the party - but just wanted to add my heartfelt CONGRATULATIONS to you on becoming debt-free :j

You've worked so hard - as have 'team brizzy' - to achieve this, and as kerri pointed out, on schedule and whilst remembering to *smell the roses* as you went along :T

I do hope you're going to remain on MSE - even if you go and *play* with the MFW crowd :D:D:D

Again, well done, well done, well done :D

    THANK YOU EVERYONE :D

I am very touched at all your good wishes. As ever kerri and GP (and sorry you have decided to take a bit of a break from MSE..am even more touched that you popped in :)) you remind me that we have, Fortune Smiles style, managed to stop and smell the lilies on the way. Quite honestly, we have not wanted for much...if anything..which is a salutary reminder that we can have a perfectly fulfilling life with much much less spending

OH and I have walked for 3 hours today..chatting whilst we went in on errands into town and back. It was very nice. We have also picked some young dandelions and sorrel from the allotment to have as a salad for tea tonight..I have made the NL honey & mustard dressing to offset some of the lemony/bitterness but we shall see..I do like foraging :)

I was also very pleased to see some wild garlic/ransomes..I planted some about 2 years ago but didn't think it had taken but there it was, sprouting up under an apple tree :) so I may do a courgette and ransome pesto for more pasta later on in the week :). I did a survey and we made £1.15 on the panels.

SO..today I am very grateful for:

    - MSE and all the support I have gained on here :D
    - our little allotment and the plans we have for it (before we get overwhelmed!)
    - my new savings pots for emergencies and 'life'

    Have a great eve
