Company foul play

Hi, I wonder if anyone can help me,
I have shares in a company I used to work for. The existing company has been renamed and a new company incorporated with the original name with same shareholders except me, so it is clearly the same company. Is there anything I can do to protect my shareholding?
Thanks,
Jim P

Your shares are still in the renamed company. You can't have shares in the new company (regardless of what it is called) unless you purchased them.Debt 1/1/17 - Credit Cards £17,280.23; overdrafts £3,777.24
Debt 5/1/18 - Credit Cards £3,188; overdrafts £00 -
Thanks for your reply. I appreciate my shares are still with the renamed Company, but I know it's been reformed to remove me as a shareholder and will receive the renamed companies contracts and assets - just hoping there's something I can do other than write it off.
Thanks

Assets have a value.
Minority shareholders are protected under company law. Seek advice.0 -

The contracts and assets should be transferred at fair value. If not you need to seek legal advice.0 -

Presumably you did check that you were on the register and have been receiving dividends?
If you have not received fair value, then you need to consult a solicitor specialising in company law.0 -
Many thanks for the replies I will seek advice as you suggest
