Dear all

I've seen lot of help on mobile phones forum for unlocking various mobile phones.

I was wondering if someone could help me to unlock my VAUXHALL VDO CDR 500 CD PLAYER on my Vauxhall Astra.

Please let me know what details would you need if you know how to decode it and I shall put them across for you.

Hoping to see some response.
Cheers
Kunal.

I just spent a couple of quid at car-radio-unlocking.co.uk and was sent to a website that suggested

    A. I contact the dealer for the code
    B. Try some bits of software (that didn't work)
    C. Try one of several sites on the net that charge for their services.

All in all, not my wisest spend ever!!

That's the least helpful advice I've ever seen. How do you think he got here???

Hope you can help. Recently upgraded the wifes stereo to an aftermarket, left her favourite CD in the old siemens unit that came in the car (Astra 2004). My life is forfeit if I don't retrieve said CD. Of course since I removed the original unit its in SAFE mode. Annoying as I have manuals etc just no code from the Vauxhall dealership!

Anyway, any chance someone could supply the default code?

    330886636, its a CDR 500 (E).
    Also has 2 barcodes: 90123000018100 and 00304092304782.

    Thanks in advance :)

(Further annoyance: I blew up the replacement unit too, so stuck with no stereo now)

    Great isn't it?

They're coded to the cars ECU and they only fit that make/model of car..... Yet they still require a radio code
