I am sure you are all on top of this, but for those who haven't heard, the round pound coin won't be legal tender from October.
New 12 sided pound coin coming in March.
For those of you with unbreakable containers......
Hope this helps more than hinders.Scottishmummy wrote: »You will still be able to pay them into bank accounts after October but some banks may put limits on how many they will accept.
I wouldn't rely on banks accepting the round £1 coins. The statement from The Treasury was:"This is a historic moment as it's the first time we've introduced a new £1 coin since 1983, and this one will be harder to counterfeit than ever before. Our message is clear: if you have a round one pound coin sitting at home or in your wallet, you need to spend it or return it to your bank before 15 October.Scottishmummy is quite right and you should be able to deposit them in a bank after October, but better safe than sorry - get rid of those round pounds before 15 October

I am up to £67.09 savings towards this challenge already. I am so chuffed.
£1.09 of that was interest added to my savings account for my savings towards last year's challenge.
Because we are living off the freezer food bargains bought on Boxing Day (so many joints of meat I won't have to buy meat until after Easter), I am putting away £3 per day for the time being. This will give me some wriggle room later in the year if I struggle for any reason to keep up. Boxing day meat all bought on store card points so definitely a fab bargainDFW Nerd No. 1484 LBM 07/01/15 Debt was £95k  Now debt free and happy :j0 -

Hi Everyone,
I don't have a number yet but been putting my £2 a day into my unused savings account since I joined 2 days ago so so far have £4 but think at the end of every week I was also put in any odds that are still in the bank. Is it ok to do that too?£2 savers club #240 -
