8 years next month since I gave up smoking, I must have saved about £10,000

We do home brew but have slipped into the habit of buying shop bought wine. HB tends to be slightly less strong (and not quite as nice although not too bad if you get a good make) but best of all doesn't give you such a headache the next day :)

All lovely. From people really struggling for one AF day to people who have signed the pledge and never looked back.

Soz Kate, I misread your post and thought you meant you smoked when drinking. Wow at that saving. Trying to lose weight here too, good days and bad days but I'm trying to not give up completely:D

Ooh Polly, you've prompted me to work it out properly.

I smoked about 15 a day but more at the weekend so an average of 20 a day - over 8 years that is more like £18K

Where did that money go

And more to the point, how did I afford to smoke for 16 years

Popped into Costco - £150 later... oops.

Smoked haddock with spinach and sugar snap peas for dinner, left over stir fry for lunch. Trying to be good, didn't succumb to cake in the restaurant at the customer site.

Don't think any of us should dwell too much on past mistakes:D, great thing is you don't smoke now and your health is so much better for it.

Well done on resisting the cake and dinner sounds proper lush!
