Halifax kids regular savers

Just came in to a letter to say the kids regular savings accounts will be renewed at 4% and not the usual 6%

So - recommendations for a new regular savings?

Lloyds dropped their regular saver rate from 4% to 3% and TSB are dropping theirs from June 27th from 5% (to 2% mentioned on here),so it looks like there is going to be a general downwards trend.
  • shame. Thanks though. Will wait and see what happens then

    Boooo!

Well, that makes for an easy decision when my daughter's RS comes to an end: simply use her 4% JISA instead. Unless of course Halifax have plans to reduce JISA rates as well...

Mine have the JISA in Nationwide which is 3.25%

Halifax Junior ISA's are at 3% at the moment

The rate for new customers may be 3%, but we're still getting 4% (account opened last year).

I just checked the Halifax site and all references to the adult ISA bonus have been removed! That's a bit alarming. I hope existing customers will continue to get the existing arrangement.

existing customers keep the 6% till the end of the regular saver, on maturity the account will migrate to a young saver account then any replacement regular saver will be at the rate offered at the time of maturity.

JSA and Adult ISA's are not linked since 7th June 2016, so the rate is 3%, for new applications but existing account are at the rate on opening, currently but this can also change as it a variable account.
