  • Toothache, trip to the emergency vets, pointless moving of furniture, much of the house in CHAOS.

    Toothache is REALLY bad.

Need food and drink and the antibiotic.

Randomly fancy pear drops. Probably the only food we don't have in the house!

also have to put the tree up. Best make a start on that after I hoover.

  • Toothache is manageable - ages ago I needed antibiotics but I lost them - due the dogs ;) only found the empty box so went back for more, any how found the previous ones under the sofa (when we moved them) So I started on those yesterday and it has made a massive difference.

    Today was hard.

Very very hard. We all had presents and BIL was in a good mood - very happy but it must be difficult to........I don't know all of it really!

I am ok, a bit flat. utterly skint. I was going to write loads but too tired.

    1. Check bank every day
    2. Bring my own lunch for work
    3. No online shopping for January (Amazon Addiction!)
    4. Walk dogs/declutter/write/play with dogs to avoid shopping
    5. Organise work so I don't get behind and have to shop online because I haven't time to shop in the real world.
    6. Meal Plan
    7. Get up early and go to bed early (say no to online shopping)
    8. Add all change to Sealed Pot
    9. Buy basics brand when I can.
    10. Use up food in freezer,
    11. Use up toiletries,
    12. Use up stationary.
    13. De-clutter and put three things up for sale each week minimum.
    14. Move spare change to savings account
    15. Do not use Credit card. (apart from Pet emergencies) (and Dental emergencies)

I paid my Christmas spending off today. IT was WAY more than it should have been. I really need to stop spending money. I behave as tho I am well off sometimes and I am really not, I mean i am doing ok but not to spend that much. I won't even admit how much! but it was all my spending from the 26th of November.

January is going to be a use up and finish off month. I currently I have 1000 earmarked for the dentist and 646 left of my emergency fund, plus 400 left in the Christmas/extras account. I want to keep it that way.

Toothache is rearing its ugly head.

    Might be Snowball time ;)

On the plus side January is usually a frugal month for most people so I think it's easier to stick to. I'm doing a lot of the things on your list, especially the using up/decluttering.

Glad BIL managed to enjoy Christmas.

Can I just copy your list? I need to deal with each one!!!!

Sorry that Christmas was so hard.

    Urg x x
  • So that whole spending money thing......ermmm.

Emergency vet visit one - 127 pounds
Vet visit two - 77 pounds.

    And the dentist!

YES I WENT TO THE DENTIST.

500 pounds later - I am 1/3 of the way through Root canal.

That isn't so bad as I had it saved.

But I do have CC bill to pay which is a pain!

And Urg, crack on with the list, the penny pinchers thread has LOADs of ideas :)

Glad you finally got to the dentist :)

Have you heard from Beanie, quite a few of us are getting concerned that we've not heard from her for a few days?
