  • It's really made me see what a difference it can make so thank you my next account is high. I used to see it as free money sadly so once it's paid off I'm closing the account and never touching it again!
  • Hey, thanks for mentioning qmee. I had a look and got nearly 60p just while settling Pickle. I think I'll build that one up in the days I spend and with draw money on a nsd so I can make a pad in my mop pot.

Hope little one is better soon.

DS is no better I was up at 3am cleaning his bed and him up. Sick all over his bed. Thankfully I thought to buy bed pants for him in case of accidents the other end...as that also happened. I messaged my manager last night stating I'll have to take today as AL. I got a reply of "OK" and nothing else. Not sure what he expects me to do. The
Last time I asked my mum to have him whilst Ill like this I'd successfully wiped out my mum, youngest sister, elder sister and all 4 of her kids. My mum looks after my elder sisters kids too. Ultimately if my mum catches this then there is no child care! I guess he expects my DH to stay home. But he's trying to catch up after having quite a bit of time off with his back that his manager pestered him about. No win from either side. But my child's health is more important and should really keep my anxiety in check.

Ugh enough moaning. Today is sponsored by coffee and the odd Lemsip. So much snot. Wow this house is so fun.

Oh and Wishing, every little helps re. Qmee. I really like that you can cashout for such little amounts without being penalised. It's instant gratification for me!

My Next account very very rarely dipped below £400 and I'd pay an average of £40 a month on. I'd then buy loads every 3 months or so, countering any payments I'd just made. Speaking to some colleagues the other week and they mentioned how their balance's are in the same region as yours. But they also had the attitude of it being free money.

I'm probably going to close my next account once cleared too. If I want something I will pay outright. That's what has annoyed me. Previously I could pay outright but still stuck it on there, oh the shame

  • It's payday eve.

Managed to earn another £1.51 on Qmee which I've chosen to take off the Barclaycard. Tomorrow I will completely pay off the NEXT account :j This is why I've started to make a mini payment to the Barclaycard as that's my next target.

I'm tantalisingly close to the £25 I want to have earned on PA before I go for payout. That'll be my September contribution to the annual bill account. Studies have picked up slightly but they're low paid.

Update on the kids. Despite the sickness and diarrhea from DS he's been full of energy and fingers crossed he's over the worst. DD has a slight runny bottom but it's not affecting her demeanour. Still a tantruming madam. I kinda like that part of her though, very strong willed!!

Gonna get an early night. .... (after a few diary reading catch ups)

Hi, yes I do, but that's only because I've downloaded it onto my tablet. I'm sure I've read other people earn money on a desktop or laptop through doing searches. I'm not 100% on that

  • Well it's payday and I've cleared the NEXT account :T:j:beer:

I wasn't sure a few weeks ago of whether I'd achieve it this month as well as clearing the overdraft so I'm over the moon.

I love logging into my banking app and seeing everything in the positive and that we have savings. The psychological impact is huge. It really gives me a boost and a determination to clear the rest ASAP.

As mentioned earlier I'm going to concentrate my efforts on the Barclaycard now.
From the August statement £1478.16 is on 0% until Nov 2018 (probably closer to £1400 taking payments into account since last statement). The remainder of the balance is 0% until Jun 2019. So use the snowballing method from next payday everything I used to pay to Next and the OD will now go on the Barclaycard. That means I should be paying a minimum of £160 a month off it from October. Hopefully more with all the other little payments I can make. Quick calculations suggest that the card will be COMPLETELY paid by Jan 2019. I hope to drastically reduce that though.

  • Brilliant progress, well done on getting rid of the Next acc as well as being out of your overdraft! I'm sure you will have no trouble having the BC well cleared before the 0% ends.
  • Woo hooo you are doing really well.

The bc is a bit of a marathon rather than a sprint though isn't it? What about some little challenges to keep you motivated?

    Onwards and downwards.
