reclaiming mortgage fees ge money sold to elderbridge

This is my first post to the forum but have used it for information in the past and find it extremely helpful. I just can not seem to find an answer to my question ,so here goes..

I had a secured loan with GE Money and fell into arrears which is all sorted and has been for a couple of years. However i attracted around £3000 in fees/charges during the period and a year or so ago GE sold my loan to elderbridge, my question is can i potentially reclaim some of the fees and if so who would i contact GE who imposed the fees or Elderbridge who now owns the loan..thank you in advance Lee

Why do you believe these fees are refundable?

and thank you for your response ,i believe the fees were disproportionate to actual costs to send letters etc

Note that the Banks won their court case on Bank Charges in 2009, so your argument will hold no water I'm afraid. Historical bank charges are no longer refundable.

Why do you continue to give false advice. ? The Banks winning in the Supreme Court 2009 has nothing whatsoever to do with unfair mortgage fee's .

You are well aware from our previous posts that bank charges have NOTHING whatsoever to do with mortgage arrears fees.

So i ask the question again why do you continue to give the wrong advice on this subject.

Links from 2010 are hardly current, but I digress, I want to apologise unreservedly to the OP for mistaking the fees he paid on a defaulted mortgage with Bank account charges. I admit I have little knowledge of this and won't post about it again until I do.

Some one is going to an awful lot of trouble searching for old threads just to prove a point.
Cant you just accept that someone made a mistake and move on
