best plan for a package

Hi, I need some advice here please as I am totally not very techy with TV etc. I am currently with Virgin for phone, broadband and TV with a box in each room. After the initial low cost for 9 months, the bill has just come in for the first of the new billing at £85.00. Over the last few months I've been taking stock of what our household actually use on this service - hardly use the phone but need to keep one for elderly relative - broadband now and then to check bank statements etc. the TV - we watch the occasional drama but other than that use mainly the freeview channels, due to shift work this may not be until after 9pm at night so the £85.00 bill isn't really justified - I'd like to keep the option of "recording" programmes in both rooms but this is where I don't know how to go about it if I lose such as virgin or sky, has anyone any ideas please? Thanks in anticipation

Do you really need a broadband service for the very occasional use .
TV if you are only watching Freeview then a personal video recorder will record what you want from Freeview .0 -
I'm guessing your still within you minimum contract period of 18m? or 12m
Removing any services will save you hardly any money. Maybe £2
and lock you into another 12 months of contract.
If however they increase their prices (October usually) you have 30 days to say you want to leave and negotiate a better deal.
In the future it sounds like you need an ariel and freeview recorder.0 -
